-Almost pitch black with 1 finger head that does not retain or leave much lace
-Nose is peanut butter, hint of coffee, chocolate, toast
-Taste follows nose, less peanut butter, more toast. Tinge of sweetness, caramel maybe
-Heavy bodied mouth feel. A little too much carbonation for my taste.

Pours an effervescent ebony with a finger of tan head. Good head retention & better lacing

S: Peanut butter in spades, plus cocoa

T: Peanut butter & a little cocoa up front. More of the same once warm, slight astringency hides underneath, along with dryness. Finishes with cocoa, peanut butter & dryness

MF: Light/medium bodied, lively carbonation

One the better peanut butter beers I've had, but believe this would be better suited to some thing at least 2% ABV more. Could've used a bit more complexity , but well worth picking up

As far as being just a milk/sweet stout, it pretty much fits the bill. Has a thin mouthfeel, which is to be expected (you can't expect imp stout thickness in a milk stout), and looks the part for the style. The nose is sweet with a hint of the peanut butter. Where this beer shines is in the taste. Has a sweet milky taste up front followed by a slight chocolatey flavor and finishes with the peanut butter. I was actually quite surprised at how good this tasted. Wish I had another.

I am generally not a fan of beers with a 'gimmick', and the smiling brown cow on the label had me concerned. However, this is a great, creative, and flavorful beer. Utterly dark, with a cream-colored head, the beer is attractive. The smell is of chocolate milk, mixed with a little peanut butter. There is a malt smell underneath, but the milk aroma is uncanny. The taste is exceptional...sweet, but not cloying...rich and milk-like. Some chocolate, lots of malt, a little bitterness for balance, and a continuation of the peanut butter flavor. Full and luxurious texture. Nice.

Dark brown in color and impenetrable to light. There's a massive beige head comprised of tiny bubbles. Aroma is more peanut butter with chocolate accents. It honestly smells like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. The flavor is centered around peanut butter blended with a dry stout. Massive amounts of carbonation in this beer and the mouthfeel is otherwise dry and slightly warm.

The nose is straight up Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. The taste like the nose is sweet and roasted malts, chocolate, and peanut butter. The mouthfeel is a little thinner than expected, even for a 5.5% brew. However, this is one of the tastier peanut butter beers I've ever tried.

L - Pours a deep ruddy black, with a tan 1 finger head with big bubbles. Airy. Little to no lacing, looks oily. Head recedes fairly quickly. Only a light ring remains around edge.

S - All I smell is Reese's peanut butter cups. Sweet, chocolate is upfront. Loud and proud. Picked up the smell of fresh jar of peanut butter. It smells like dessert.

T - Upfront its all peanut buttery. Smell is very close to what I predicted for taste. Chocolate notes but they were sort of blended in with a strong taste of smooth peanut butter. Bitterness in the back of the tongue after a drink.

F - Thin and watery. Sort of disappointing, but the rating should not be dinged for this. I knew ahead of time this one was going to be not as thick as I would expect. Perfect carbonation.

O - Very solid. Exceeded expectations, and will be proud to say this came from where I live. If you are looking for an after dinner treat, or a special drink to try with a lady this is it.

Would drink again. Worth every penny.

Definitely disappointed with this. The beer is so carbonated it's borderline undrinkable. Nose is half soap, half peanuts. Whatever taste is there is masked by the same horrible overcarbed mess. Pass, do not recommend.

Enjoyed at EBF 2014. First of 2 peanut butter beers that disappointed me (and there was only 2 at EBF!).

I am a major peanut butter freak (every morning for breakfast) and was all over this when i saw it. The result was less than desirable. Good start with a nice brown body but it was too thin for a stout. There was no peanut butter in the flavor! Closest thing resembling that is a nutty roasted feel. Some cocoa in there but major let down on the PB department. Sorry but not even close for me.

Appearance: Dark complexion upon pouring into tumbler (it’s all I had access to). Only a little suds, and no appearance of lace. No points detracted, though, as glassware choice was poor.

Aroma: Creamy chocolate and a little saltiness from peanut butter.  Really pretty nice and appealing.

Taste: A tad bittersweet with dark chocolate and a hint of peanut butter underneath. Subtle and very balanced. A well done stout that brings unconventional elements into a drinkable session worthy stout. Would buy again, for sure.
