Pours a heavily foggy orange with brown hues to it. Head is two fingers of white foam with great formation, retention, and lacing. Aroma is figs, raisins, molasses, candy sugar, and spicy hops. Later on, and in hushed voices, is dark fruit and syrup. The nose leans into sweetness in a big way, masking the ~10% ABV. In fact, in its age, it smells much more like a barleywine than a tripel. Flavor profile is fig, raisins, molasses, candy sugar, toffee, and toasty, caramely, and faint nutty malts. It leans into sweetness big time, but is bold throughout each sip. Heavy Belgian yeast, and some faint clove add some zesty texture, alongside faint spicy hops. All total, flavor profile leans mostly into sweetness, establishing a near dessert level of sweetness, along with tasting more like a barleywine than a tripel. Mouth feel is creamy, with a soothing, comforting neppy blanket laid over the tongue. Thickness is medium. Overall, while leaning into sugary notes, it still retains some balance via some late zesty hops and flavor notes. It has aged well, at least for those seeking a complex, sweet-leaning beer.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 22oz bottle. Bottled 2016. Reviewed / consumed 2/23/2022.

Tap at Billiards in CoMo.
Poured a golden orange color with a small, white, soapy head that left a little lace. It smelled of orange, yeast and clove. It tasted very yeasty. Nice orange flavors. It had a light maltiness. It had a warm alcohol presence.

Dark golden hues, white head fades quickly. Spicy, sweet aroma of Belgian yeast, which carries into the taste. Caramel notes, some vanilla, with some lingering whiskey notes. A very interesting beer, and a surprise from 4 Hands.

Look: almost honey-like in color. Very opaque and cloudy.
Smell: various spices. Can't quit pinpoint a particular scent, but very enjoyable. Almost a sweet smell with a spiciness to it.
Taste: very unique! I definitely taste a hint of caramel and spices. Delicious beer. I'm not a huge fan of tripel, but would certainly drink more if they tasted like this.
O: I'm always excited to try something new from 4 Hands, but when I was recommended to try this beer I was a bit skeptical since I don't believe they've brewed many tripels. But they deliver. What a treat. If you're looking for a unique tripel check it out.

Copper in color and plenty murky. A fingernail of off white covers most of the top. Aroma is of cereal grains with a slight cider note. The flavor is cereal grains along the lines of honey bit Cheerios and a slight cider edge. The mouth is chewy and sticky.
