Received in a trade from Harrison8. A huge thanks goes out to him.

16oz can poured into a spiegelau IPA glass. Superflare pours hazy orange in color, thick with sediment to there point where it is completely turbid. Fluffy white head settles into a modest lacing. Great looking beer.

Tons of citrus in the nose. Tangerine zest first with a bit of mango. Hops and malt are there. Not picking up any brett funk/horseblanket nor is there any sign of the guava but that's okay. Solid aroma.

Flavor is citrus-forward as expected. There is also a tiny bit of mango and the guava is subtle but it is there near the end. Galaxy hops tie the fruits together nicely and the bready malt backbone is soft and sweet. There is also a strange peppery yeast character. I'm not getting any brett notes from it, it's almost like a saison yeast or Belgian pale yeast. It isn't bad per se but it doesn't exactly jive with the flavors at hand in my opinion. Good flavor but slightly ruined by the choice of yeast.

Full mouthfeel, slightly peppery/carbonated with a dry finish,

Overall, this is a nice IPA. It's pretty unique, almost like one of those Belgian IPAs that were all the rage a few years back. I think it could've been a lot better with a different yeast but that's just my preference and I can understand why this beer has gotten stellar reviews thus far. Recommended to those who are looking for a different, unique IPA with citrus fruit added.

2015 vintage, bottled on 3/24/15 and opened on 4/23/15. Poured into a tulip glass.
Look: Finger of white foam after pour, most dies down soon after but there is still a sporadic layering of head for awhile. Upon swirl there is a moderate level of lacing on the side of the glass. Body of the beer has a rich golden hue.
Smell: Extremely pungent with a variety of tropical fruits. I detect lots of mango, guava, and pineapple, I also get notes of tangerine. Aroma is way up there in terms of both power and nuance.
Taste: The tropical flavors on the nose are seemingly all there but significantly dialed down. Everything blends together well but a lot of the variety of fruits get lost in the mix. It has a nice bitter kick on the back end that never gets out of control.
Feel: Light to medium body. There is a resin sensation that builds on the back end but it never truly establishes itself. It is quite smooth.
Overall: It has one of the most impressive aromas of any IPA I have ever had. You can't get much more tropical fruit in there. I just wish all of that nuance carried through to the flavor to the same degree. That being said everything is well balanced and it is extremely refreshing!

Smells beautiful, very tropical and soothing to the nose. Brett bites on the way out, but lacking the mouthful of flavor that the aroma holds. Still a great ipa and definitely one to enjoy immediately.

Mild Brett character compliments the tropical flavored perfectly. Blown away wishing I would have picked up more when I was back in STL. I know it'll evolve, but I would only drink this fresh.

I'd say this is the best beer i've had at 4 Hands. I'll give you the tip, this beer smells magnificent. And while the taste doesn't quite live up to the smell, it is still a fantastic beer.

Very fruity, lots of tropical type fruits like mangoes, pineapple and passionfruit. Not too hefty in body while still being firm, it has a delicious dry hop finish that melds together very well with the fruit characters.

Very underrated beer this one.

Golden colored with intense haziness. There's a quarter inch of frothy off white on top. Moderate lacing. The aroma is intense with citrus, mango, and tangerine notes. A tropical IPA with tropical fruit to compliment? Yes, please! The mango and tangerine flavors slightly overpower the tropical hop notes. The mouth is fairly smooth and lightly sticky. Honestly for an IPA it is wickedly smooth and drinkable. Tropical fruity drink meets IPA. This is their lovechild. Diabolical!

Pours a hazy pale yellow with thin quickly fading white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, carried into the taste. Just enough malt to balance. Very easy to drink, way too easy for the ABV.
First review of a bottle, but even better on draught.

The Brett hits on the back end. Good amount of fruit throughout. Very enjoyable beer
