Very Good
Notes: Opus is a saison brewed with tea and fruit. The perfect accompaniment to the warmer months, this farmhouse style has a bright, citrusy aroma with notes of tea and spice. Opus pours golden in color with a firm white head.

Tea and lemon zest, they are there but poorly balanced. A little wheat as well but the lack of balance hurts the beer. The idea sounded good but at the end of the day the balance is awful.

Clear golden color with a modest but persistent white head that does produce a decent lacing.

The aroma is pear, apple, white grape with a hint of black tea and pepper.

The taste is almost exactly parallel to the aroma, with a bit more of the pepper note, very slightly sweet, almost dry in the finish.

Fairly light body, easily drinkable. Overall a decent, somewhat summery version of a saison.

Pours a very effervescent straw color with a 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Stays effervescent, great head retention & good lacing

S: A little pear & white grape, pear gets stronger as this warms & Golden Delicious apple skin as this warms, slight honey notes

T: Follows the nose, a bit of honey malt, a bit of mustiness, a little green tea & chai up front. A little grasssyness mixes with dryness, over-ripe pear & white grape as this warms, then a touch of Chai, plus honey-crisp apple. Finishes with over-ripe orchard fruit, dry, with a little honey sweetness

MF: Light body, delicate carbonation, very champagne like. Body thins out once warm

A pretty decent Saison that works in the Summer, not life changing, but very refreshing

Golden colored with an oddly high amount of clarity for a saison. A fingernail of bright white rests on top. The aroma is peppery and earthy with a hint of black tea. The flavor is as advertised in the nose with earthy, peppery notes and faint black tea. The mouth is moderately carbonated and those zesty bubbles prick the tongue.

22oz bottle. Poured out a hazy, straw yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled yeasty and spicy with some nice clove notes. Tasted fruity with some grains and caramel and a good sharp spice/yeasty bite.

Aroma is Belgian yeast, very spicy and a hint of earthiness. The flavor is spices, Belgian yeast, fruit/fruit zest, malts, slight earthiness and a mildly sweet finish.

This was a really great take on a Saison. Sort of blurs the lines between beer, wine, and cider. It is fairly dry with a hint of sweet. The tea is the first flavor to jump out with layers of orange, lemon, grapes, and apple following as it moves across your tongue. It finishes with a crisp, dry fruity note and begs for another drink.
