Looks like a pilsner, tastes like a pale ale, and it's all good. Pours with a soft white head and a clear, light yellow body. Smells really juicy, good malty scent with a strong note of pineapple. Taste follows the nose with a really nice addition of floral hops and a light bitterness that reigns in the fruity sweetness. Finishes is really clean. This might be my new grilling beer.

Impressed by this blonde ale, although it almost comes across as a pale ale. Moderate hops presence on the nose and on initial taste, but finishes very clean. This very well could be my new go-to session for the summer.

Drank from the can. Hops hit you first, then fade with a very clean refreshing feeling, over and over again. Can reads best with pizza and skateboards. I have neither but am settling for a back porch breeze and a sunny afternoon, which seem to be working as I am really enjoying this. Crisp, full of flavor, but not lingering.

Dull gold colored with brilliant clarity. A fingernail of off white head is present. Light lacing. A pleasant aroma of tropical hops bring thoughts of pineapple and pear to mind along with a light grainy note. The taste is a refreshing burst of pine and tropical fruit along with a background note of lightly toasted grains. Mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing. A fair amount of aroma and flavor, yet sessionable.

Appearance: Cloudy golden, with a medium head of white suds. Slight lace, but nothing extraordinary.

Aroma: Some citrus (orange) hops, not over-the-top but refreshingly enticing nonetheless.

Taste: Light and hoppy, with a tropical feel and a slight bitterness at the finish. I almost consider this to be a session IPA, but it’s substantially lighter and more watery than most. “American blonde ale”? Maybe a better category after all.

Pours an effervescent hay color with ever so slight hazing & 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Drops bright, good head retention & above average lacing

S: Grassy & citrusy, floral hops, breadyness

T: Follows the nose, biscuitty malt, dryness up front. A little bit of apple peel, lemons & grassiness as this warms. Finishes with lemony hops, a touch of dryness & crispness

MF: Light body, subtle carbonation , nice balance

A nice old school blonde ale, drinks easy, clean, but interesting

A big thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a light yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, malts. Taste is hops, fruits, malts are present, smooth and refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a good, sessionable summer beer.

-Ale brewed with Pacific northwest hops served in a spiegelau ipa glass from can. Best by 07.15.15. Consumed 08.12.15.

A: Tangerine orange, dense nature with a fair amount of carbonation. Bubbly, seashell white head is slight and weak on the hold leaving no appreciable trace of lacing.

S: Average awareness factor, wet pine and grapefruit. Creamy orange, spicy dank herbal piney-honey flavor. A little weaker then antcipated, maybe time past best by was a factor?

T: Pine, cream of orange. lightly dry bitterness of hops are still showing some respectable signs of life, just not complexity. a hint of spicy hops, dry hopped finish, just might have been enough to save this from a mediocre 3.0 rating.

M: Light bodied, little carbonation, lifeless, unexciting.

O: Fair hopping bitterness wise, but a bit watered down and mundane flavor wise. A complexity that strives for the masses with linear expectations. Would not turn down free at a party, but hardly worth a recommend single wise. At 4.5% i got the feeling this was striving to be a session ipa, but is labeled a blonde here. Send help, yeah this needs a bit of it, got bored halfway through.
