12oz can fizzed way out of the top very quickly and spilled all over the counter before I could even pour it. Didn't drop the can or agitate it or anything, it's just been sitting in the fridge for days, very strange. Pours a very hazy golden yellow inclining to orange with a large, dense head of off-white foam that fades down to a thin layer while leaving a small amount of lacing. Smells pungently of american hops, especially citrusy ones. Decent malt backbone with a weird, funky caramel sort of flavor that leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. Lots of piney, citrusy hop flavors and a moderate to strong bitterness at the close. Medium body with a fizzy mouthfeel.

Really didn't like this beer. Not a super hoppy guy and didn't know it was one of those "little IPA" pale ales. Not sure why the carbonation was so insane when I opened the can, either. Won't buy again.

The colour of this beer is on the darker side of gold accompanied by a 1.5-inch head. The dominate features are the citrus/tropical aromas and malt/citrus taste. Bitterness and carbonation are both elevated. It's hot a hop kick but not too much. Pretty balanced. I was visiting St. Louis and took in a Cards game and I'm glad someone recommended it.

In review of the widely acclaimed "City Wide" pale ale, I simply find myself at a loss for words. The citrus aroma at first smell may be off-putting for pilsner advocated, but I believe the St. Louis native brew can hold its own against any IPA.

Crisp and refreshing! Look is golden with a light haze. Very crushable and a great beer year round. At 5.5% it’s a sessionable brew that can be drank at volume. Gonna pop a couple more in the cooler

It’s alright. No a whole lot going on. Nice color. Slight citrus flavor. Like a higher quality standard American beer.

Nice frothy head ... Has all the characteristics of a decent American pale ale ... This one's got some flavor, which is of course good as many in this style are a bit thin

16 oz can from a Shell gas station in KCMO. Honestly this was kind of a dicey purchase as 4 Hands doesn't really date their cans anyways, but for $1.79...eh.

"20 056 89"
Poured into Southern Grist Mini Willie.

Pours a foggy straw color with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, receding to a thin ring leaving sparse lacing on the sides.

Hop oxidation present immediately in the aroma - some cardboard-y aromas with hints of grapefruit and sulfur. A little bit of grass and tangerine.

Oh, this is tough. I can taste the freshness of the grapefruit and even some sweet orange marmalade but it's buried underneath this massive reminder of one's mortality in the form of hop oxidation and moldy onion. A little bit of fresh pine on the finish. I can tell this may have been a good beer once, but it's long gone. I'll concede and nail it up at a 3.75.

Feel is tingling and lightly acidic, with a very proper carbonation and pleasing dryness with a crisp finish. Lingering resins. Super good.

Overall, if I could find this fresh (who can tell anyway?) I'd give it another shot. In a way it deserves a lowered score because a consumer should be able to decipher what they're buying. If I had to guess, I'd say this IPA was about 5 months old. Due to its perceptible decline it's easily a drain pour.

Nice modern APA. Golden yellow, crisp and slightly prickly feel with a nicely balanced hop flavor featuring modern tropical fruit hop notes along with classic nw hop.bitterness. smell has a bit of a funky, overripe fruit or slightly turned juice smell. I picked the same.thing up in the one other 4 hands beer I've had so it might be a house yeast thing. Anyway, that was my only complaint. Pleasant beer, definitely a daily drinker type
