Notes: The popular Pale Wheat Ale first arrived in 2012. It pours bright orange and is full of big citrus off the nose. The hop profile includes “copious” amounts of Pacific Northwest Hops and is dry hopped with fresh orange zest. The new variant is JUICED up with tangerine juice and zest, giving it a big citrusy aroma and crisp hop.

Beer has what I assume is fruit pulp floating in it. Though I discovered after purchase that the beer is not the freshest, so who knows. Smells like oranges and hops and malt. Thin body and not as juicy as expected, but still good. Finished with a mild bitter, pith at the end. Would love to get out fresh and taste the difference.

Dull copper colored with plenty of haziness and sediment suspended within the body. There's a fingernail of dishwater white on top. As advertised there's an obscene amount of tangerine and some citrus hops. I'm tasting tangerine, some citrus, and a suggestion of pale wheat. The mouth is resinous and all of that tangerine flavor pricks the tongue throughout the experience.

12oz can. Poured out a cloudy, orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of orange peel, wheat and hints of lemon. Tons of citrusy goodness with a mild wheat taste.

Appearance: Hazy amber, with a huge off-white head and light lacing. Some floaties (sediment) here.

Aroma: Citrus and tropical fruits yes! Orange and tangerine coming through.

Taste: Super-juicy. Tangy citrus and tropical fruits. A delicious fruit-packed wheat brew.

Pours hazy, golden orange in color with minimal head. Taste is orange juice, lemon, and melon. Light bodied, slightly bitter, and slightly bitter. An ok beer could do or pass.

Pours a bright, coudy straw color. Head was loose and fell very fast. Smells of citrus and pine, very fresh. Definetly has a big, juicy hop flavor. Almost like grapefruit, but not overpowering. Great for the style.

a tasty tangerine spiked version of their classic. they came close to overdoing it, but cut it off right at the point where it would be too much, and i am glad they did. as fruity as this is, it still tastes like beer, and that matters in the current landscape, where everyone and their uncle is making a citrus beer like this, and so many of them abandon grain and hops in favor of the fruit. fortunately this one is still wheaty, its still super hoppy, especially in the nose, and the fruit, for how strong it is, is really natural tasting to me, fresh oranges and tangerines in aroma and flavor, fresh from the grove, not condensed or reduced at all, right from the tree. a touch perfumy to me in the aroma, but its well balanced out by the green hops and the somewhat fuller bodied earthy wheat, a cool layering of flavors and feels, with some acid from the peel and some bitterness too, but also juicy from fruit and hops, just delicious! scaling the orange element back a little bit would make this a better session beer for my tastes, but i like how natural it is and how much carbonation there is here to keep it feeling summery. i imagine freshness matters a lot to the enjoyment of this, but when its on, its on!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on May 16, 2018. Brewed with Pacific Northwest hops and fresh orange zest. Look is bright orange. Smell and taste is citrus. Feel is medium in body.
