Style: American Pale Wheat Ale
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%
Availability: Summer
Notes / Commercial Description:
Contact High is our summer seasonal inspired by the American craft movement. We made this wheat ale exciting by adding pacific northwest hops and dry hopping with orange zest. Contact high pours a bright orange hue with a bit citrus aroma. Citrus zest + hops + wheat = summer.

Tropical hops come off as a malt bomb to me. Mouthfeel was great, nose was bleah. Not my thing ....

Poured from the 12 oz. can into an IPA glass.
Pours a clear, light copper color with a small and bubbly foam head. Plenty of carbonation evident.
The smell is orange and floral and sweet candy. Very nice.
The first sip is hoppy-bitter up front with some orange and orange pith right behind and a lingering, bubbly bitter finish.
The mouthfeel is thin and sticky.
Overall, a quite tasty and easy drinking. Kind of like sucking on an orange peel, in a good way.

Dark golden to light copper in color with a quarter inch thick light white foam cap resting on top. Citrus hop and orange aroma. The flavor is fresh, pungent citrus hops and pale wheat. The mouth is moderately carbonated and the hop bitterness pricks my tongue. This is likely dry hopped.

Pours a clear yellow with a big three finger head. Fantastic retention and good lacing. Tons of carbonation bottle rising from the bottom of the glass.
Smell is big citrus. Orange zest and grapefruit from the hops. Very nice.
Taste is a bit watery but has a big punch of citrus and hops at the end. No lingering taste at all.
Good mouthfeel with nice carbonation. A bit watery feeling and very light bodied. Could drink a good bit of this stuff.
Overall this is a pretty good beer. Very refreshing and drinkable. Would drink again.
