My bestie gave me a can of this. Wild ales are not my forte so it's probably best to read others reviews. This beer poured a cloudy dark amber with thin ecru head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had sour cherries. The taste was sour leaning with tart cherry through the drink then a chocolate linger. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

A great BA/sour dubbel poured from a bomber into a tulip at the brewery.

This reminded me so much of NB's La Folie flavor-wise, I couldn't get over it. While the flavor was nearly the same, it lacked the biting, sour grip-your-jaw feel of La Folie... which I loved.

In retrospect, I'm really bummed I didn't buy a bomber for the road as I live in CO and don't have access to this gem!

Appearance: Arrives with a cloudy mahogany color; a modest head caps the liquid and leaves a few strands of lacing

Smell: Cherry, funk and oak with a red wine and vinegar aspect

Taste: Sour cherry, red wine grape and oak with a funky character, up front; in the middle, the sour vinegar aspect takes over and drives through to the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: The vinegar aspect of this beer overwhelms rather than complements which, over time, made it difficult to enjoy
