16 oz can at the Suwannee Music Park.
This strongly flavored brown ale has high loads of dark roasted grains and hops. Above average bitterness for style. Hints of burnt toast, bitter chocolate, and dark dried fruits.
Smooth, medium-full body and near medium carbonation.

Dark brown in color with a fingernail of khaki brown on top. Heavy lacing on the glass. The aroma is of chocolate and caramel. I’m tasting dark chocolate and caramel. The mouth is dry and somewhat chalky.

One of my favorite beers from this brewery, and one of my favorite brown ales period. Very flavorful for the style. Deliciously drinkable with coffee notes.

Had on tap. Opaque brown body, full tan head and tons of rings of lacing. Caramel malt with brown bread yeast, hints of dark fruit in the smell. Taste lead with caramel malt with good brown yeast, baked pumpernickel, yet finishes sweeter with dried dark fruit kiss without being sweet overall. Feel is a malt bomb with a rising yeast, wetter in a medium body. Paired great with lamb

From a can at Leroy Fox in Charlotte, sweet carmel aroma and flavors. A little thin and watery, but decently drinkable. Nice.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Wilmington Brewing Can Glass

The beer pours a deep mahogany brown with ruby highlights, and about two fingers worth of beige head that recedes slowly leaving behind an impressive amount of lacing

The aroma is sweet and bready with caramel and toffee notes. Notes of coffee and just a hint of chocolate

Like the aroma, the flavor is mildly sweet and bready. There is more coffee in the flavor than in the aroma, and just the slightest bit of chocolate in the aftertaste. Moderately carbonated and medium bodied.

Overall, this is a very nice example of an underappreciated style.

Had this beer in Asheville while listening to some blue grass music. On tap at Jack of the Wood, poured into a shaker pint. Nice brown color with decent head and excellent curtain lacing. Classic brown ale profile with toasted malt and chocolate. A bit to sweet. Nice smooth feel. Overall, a decent brown ale, especially if there is blue grass music!

Drinking this at The Briar Creek Beer Garden in Raleigh NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Smells lightly bready, Malty, spicy, floral.
Taste follows the nose nicely with nice spiciness.
Mouth feel is medium for the style with a nice creamy finish.
Overall a very nice Brown Ale that I would definitely order again.
Cheers!

Dark brown color with a thin white head. Dry malt character. Crisp feel. Slight notes of chocolate and coffee on the finish. All around a solid brown ale
