Lots of grapefruit rind. Not overly hoppy. Decent malt. Sharp bite on back end.

Tap

Pours a hazy orange gold, white sudsy head retains as a film.

Smells of piney and citrus hops, bready malts, and a bit of honey.

Piney and citrus hop flavor over honey biscuit malts. Slight woody finish.

Medium body with tingly carbonation.

Very good ipa with great flavor. Definitely worth trying.

Picked up a growler from the brewery. Poured into a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, orange-brown coloring with a tall, chunky, foamy, clingy, off-white head. Great lacing along the glass. Aromas of resinous pine pitch, pepper spice, caramel, lemon zest, cut grass, and subtle grapefruit. Very balanced nose, with a slight lean towards bitter. Flavors are bitter and citrus tart forward, with a heavy dose of grapefruit and tangerine, all on a richly sweet caramel backbone. Cut grass, moss, and pine pitch provide a solid dose of hops resin characteristics, bittering up this beast. Smooth, slightly dry feel on a fairly light body, with a bitter, dry, and citrus tart aftertaste. The finish has more of the grapefruit linger, and leaves a dry, slightly astringent feel on the palate. Very solid, tasty, big IPA.
