Draught at Queen City Q in Charlotte, 2014. This is the first jalapeno flavored beer I had and I found the marriage to be pretty well-executed, but unfortunately I could not enjoy the beer. I love peppers as much as the next person, but this just didn't do it for me taste-wise or feel-wise. Marks for creative execution though. I can definitely see why some people like it, but I'm sticking to my opinion here.

Received as an extra in a trade. Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a hazy golden orange hue with a thin head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of jalapeno juice, light malts. Not much else.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with lots of jalapeno juice , light malts, little sweetness. Really not much hops at all.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated little thin and watery.

O - Overall this beer was really mediocre, the hops are basically non-existent. Nice jalapeno notes though.

umm, I think thanks to rudzud.

Light fluffy fizzy head, fades quickly, no real lacing, murky hazy pale orange color.

Nose tons of pepper, fresh green pepper and jalapeno, hint of malt, little spicy pepper on the nose.

Taste brings mild sweet malt, plain pale malt, with mild peppery flavor, little jalapeno, mild spicy, very light bitterness, hint of grassy hop. Finish is mild, very little hop with touch of bitterness, lingering mild jalapeno and spicy.

Mouth is med bod, decent carb, little pepper heat.

Overall eh, pretty much just jalapeno juice with a hint of malt.

Tried in the taproom in Charlotte. Truly average across the board. Hoping for more spice with the jalapeño, but it was almost undetectable.
