So I was here with a really big group the last night I was in town....I did not end up paying for too much of what we drank, but here I go.
This place is big they apparently have two bars: one in the large dinning room and another either upstairs or downstairs...I was in the dining room....The Barley wine was a 10oz pour for $6...food was a but pricey. While I was there I also tried the IPA, Amber, and Oktoberfest. All of the beers were good(better than Judge Baldwins) and ranged between 3.5-4.2....the best probably being the IPA. We were there a long time eating and drinking and the server even gave us a pitcher or two of free beer. Very friendly service...and the beers offered were of a wide range....I think they had almost 10 of their own beers on tap. I would highly recommend this place...it appears to be a mecca of beer for the downtown area of colorado springs.

A solid brewpub in the heart of Colorado Springs. Parking is limited, but if you're visiting and planning to walk around downtown for an hour or two, you can park right behind the building for $5.

It's a big place with a lot of tables, but it didn't feel too packed. Lively but tame.

The service was friendly but a bit slow. It took a while to seat three people with 4+ tables visibly open, but everyone was pleasant and helpful.

The beer is above average for a small brewpub but nothing special. The Alpenglow seemed to be the most popular on tap and was a pretty solid hefeweizen. A B+ hefe, while many American brewers fail to execute the style. Maybe a touch too sweet, but the orange and banana notes are there. I had a flight of four other beers: Succubus, Box Car. Streamliner, and a Session IPA whose name is escaping me. Succubus was a little harsh and unbalanced, but I enjoyed the other 3, particularly the Session. The beer is accessible and straightforward, but not necessarily to its detriment.

The food was actually very good. I was spoiled on my Colorado vacation by restaurants like Rioja and Panzano, so I wasn't quite blown away by the food at Phantom Canyon, but it was very solid pub food. The Bison Patty Melt was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Better than beef, dare I say. A member of my party got the fried chicken, and it looked delicious as well.

Overall, I'd probably be a regular if I lived here. Not exceptional but very high quality.
