Opened with a mighty pffft, with the foam slowly creeping over the opening of the can. Pours with an excessively large, airy, yellowed head which slowly recedes to reveal a very cloudy, sunset-orange liquid not unlike a NEIPA. The head dissipates in an uneven, rocky manner leaving thick clumps of soapy lacing.
It has a very clove-forward aroma, reminiscent of a tripel, but with less malt sweetness and no fruity esters. A hint of vomit.
The taste is almost sugary sweet up front. A little rotten fruit (pear, apple, banana) and citrus mid-palate, but it’s subtle. Strong alcohol burn and some pepper in the finish tempers the sweetness somewhat.
Fairly thick bodied, somewhere between creamy and syrupy, with strong carbonation.
The alcohol heat on this is turned up to eleven. Not in the same league as the Belgian classics, but still fairly tasty.

The mouthfeel is full and creamy - almost decadent. This is a Belgian on PED’s, and an interesting ride to boot.
