Received this as a part of a trade, in a mini growler bottle. Poured into tulip.

A- poured bright orange with a small head, probably because it came from a growler. Decent lacing.
S- tons of sweet lemongrass, citrus, ginger, sweet biscuit, earthy, hints of one tropical fruits
T- unlike anything I've ever had. As it hit my tongue it tasted kind of like skittles almost without the sweetness. Lots of ginger and lemon, slight tropical tones, just the perfect amount of bitterness that allows you to focus on the flavors instead of the hops. I honestly cant pick apart all the flavors, theres a lot of exciting stuff going on at once. Little to no malt. Texture is smooth. Low carbonation.
O - absolutely loved this one, very unique and leaves your mouth wanting more. The flavors works so well with the ibus and its so damn refreshing. This is so easy to drink and I'm really glad I got a chance to try this gem. If you can get this beer, get as much as you can.

The first beer I've tried from Bare Hands, and it's a winner. My friend was awesome enough to bring a growler from the brewery, which we quickly guzzled up. What I love most about this brew is that it's creative and different, accomplishing exactly what it sets out to achieve.

Thai.P.A. pours a beautiful hazy golden with a medium white head. The aroma is dominated by fresh ginger, with hints of lemon -- and this element is truly fantastic. The lemongrass becomes more prominent when tasting the beer, complementing the ginger nicely. As the beer warms, the lemongrass becomes even more pronounced, and the ginger provides just enough of a kick that lingers in the finish. Overall, it is extraordinarily drinkable and refreshing. The carbonation is fairly light, though I feel this helps accentuate the excellent mix of flavors.

Definitely looking forward to trying this again, as well as other creative concoctions from Bare Hands!

Read a little bit about this brewery before my planned trip to South Bend area. Brought out some Heady Topper and Tree House Julius and Green for them to sample. They couldn't have been more happy to taste and talk beer. Great people. My first glass was Thai.PA. Nice golden color, thick head. Smeel was crazy interesting, you definitely get that sweet and spice aroma. Nice tingle in mouth with the lemon grass and spice, a very unique blend of hoppy spice. This is a very god beer, have had nothing like it. I really like the feel and taste of this beer.

Look: classic IPA, with a golden amber hue, a bit murky, and 1+ fingers of slightly off-white head.

Smell: the spices really mask the hops, and the citrus spices are a bit muted.

Taste: this is where all the elements in this beer come together. The palm sugar and lemon grass hit up front, and then you get shop bite - and the ginger spice closes the show. It's big, it's a bit juicy - and it's refreshing. That's tough to pull off all at once, IMHO.

Feel: for lack of a better term, it feels like an IPA. Bright, but rounded a bit by the spices.

Overall: a beer nerd buddy in Indiana raved about this, so when I was in town for the ND/Texas game, I had to check these guys out. $75 later, I had this gem to mule back to Minnesota (plus three other beers). I had high expectations - and this beverage exceeded them. Very well done.

Screw-top squealer received via Growling at the Moon. Thanks for the brew, Cory!

First stein pours with a 1/4" off-white head over the cloudy golden amber brew. Head is promptly down to a skim, with leggy lasting lace. Aroma is earthy citrus.

Taste is tea upfront, lemon comes on in the middle, and close brings citrus bitterness and a revisit of lingering tea after the swallow. Mouthfeel is smooth, with drinkability is good. Tea adds an interesting aspect to this brew.

Solid effort. Great citrus zest and hops on the nose. Really great smells coming off this, almost like an orange candy or taffy. Taste is great. Tons of citrus and hops pop right off the bat. Finish is a tiny bit too bitter but overall delicious. Very little heat, was expecting something a bit spicier; perfect level of heat. Nice mouthfeel, good amount of carb. Overall a great beer. Hard to push a "drink fresh" message on the label and then not have a canned-on date. Need to rectify that. Overall very good beer. Aside from FFF and Upland sours, one of the best Indiana beers I've had, and by far the best non-FFF IPA. Well done.
