A Belgian brewery in Austin, TX. Doing right. This thing is a piece of saison work. Wonderful mouth feel with that banana, straw, coriander magic. Highly recommended.

January 9, 2017

750 ml, Belgian glass

A – Amber to nearly russet, a slight haze but for the most part clear. Massive, off-white/bone head of about three inches, with looooong retention.

S – A lot of fruit, pear, kiwi, tangerine. Peppery-spicy tinge throughout the nose. Perhaps some clove, papaya, plantains. Sweet, light brown sugar malt aroma holds it all together.

T – Sweet bananas, pink peppercorn, a touch of clove. Pink bubble gum, pear, and kiwi in the mix. Light toasty malt. A Belgian yeast showcase.

M – Massive carbonation, with scrubbing bubbles throughout the sip so the flavors ebb and flow. Mostly dry, though some sweetness shows, especially at the beginning. Mild bitterness on the finish that lingers. No flaws here.

O – A near perfect interpretation of a traditional Belgian saison, with a few hints of American hops and slight sweetness.

This is a very tasty beer! On tap into a snifter. Pleasantly sweet with a great fruity taste . Apples and pears with a bit of orange. It has been a while since I had this beer, but I will come back to it in the future.
