Notes:
Love and Hoppiness is the first time in our history that we have released the same beer with different yeasts side-by-side. We used California yeast for Love + Hoppiness in CA and Vermont yeast for Love + Hoppiness in VT. Our goal with the experiment is to better understand our personal preference for “clean” vs “hazy” beer.

Canned 6/27/18, consumed 7/10/18
L: Hazy, cloudy dirty straw color with a small head that left a little bit of lacing.
A: A bit light and muted, but it's a really enticing, bright mix of citrus and tropical fruits. Definitely wish it was a few levels stronger.
T: Awesome, delicious, bright citrus-forward fruit mix with some tropical fruit, as well as piney & earthy hops. This is on the upper level of tasty pale ales.
F: Medium-light and slightly thin, good carbonation, nice complementary level of bitterness, good dry finish.
O: Terrific pale ale - super juicy and flavorful for the low ABV. I'm get more impressed with each new Track 7 brew I pick up. Ready for more!

Draught pour at Track 7 in Natomas into a shaker pint. Pours hazy straw yellow with finger of medium density white head that never fully dissipated and left no lacing. Nose is a bit mute, citrus and hints of tropical fruit. Taste is dominated by citrus, with subtle tropical fruit and just a hint of bitterness. Mouthfeel is great, softer than the CA version, carbonation on the higher side, and the finish clean with just a bit of astringency. Liked this variation slightly over the CA version. Very interesting idea, bravo T7!

Appearance - mostly hazy and slightly dull orange in color with an off-white, half-finger width head. Sub-par retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of surface suds. No lacing, save a spot or two.
Smell - Moderate, juicy aroma. Passionfruit and light citrus. Lesser mango. Subtle yeastiness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Flavor is mild, but hits on juicy notes of passionfruit and orange upfront. A hint of mango, pine and spice soon follow. Faint white bread undertone with slight yeast. Lingering passionfruit and citrus in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with moderate carbonation. Slightly velvety mouthfeel. Goes down nice and easy.
Overall - A very good NE-Style pale, but it doesn't quite scratch that itch for me. It's just a bit too laid back for my personal preference.

Picked this up in the summer of 2018 and drank it Sep 1, 2018. Was straight forward pretty good with no surprises.
Pours a hazy yellow, 1/3" white head. Good hop aromatics, I dunno what the hops used are, but Citra and Galaxy seem to be the prime suspects as this dances around with tangerine and pineapple like smells for the most part.
Taste is easy going, at only 5.1% this drinks quickly, well carbonated, but not a wet ride solely, there is a decent enough of a bitter bite to keep this I would guess around that 45ibu range. Continues to push some soft orange, passion fruit and pineapple notes. Thankfully, what comes off as Galaxy isn't the overripe rotten kind of pineapple some beers push (wandering into fog). Ah shit and halfway through this review, I see the information on hops is listed below, and it does confirm much of what I suspected. All in all I liked it a lot, and would definitely buy again in the future given its low abv you can have this doing a lot of stuff outdoors.
