A- Pours a brilliant golden orange in color with a big, frothy head that retains very well. Lacing is also very good. The color of the body is very bright and the body itself is just a touch hazy.

S- Being an IPA, the start of the scent is a bang of hops bitterness, of course. The smell of the hops is largely pine note and are fairly aggressive in the nostrils. There is a touch of underlying malt backbone to the scent that provides just a touch of balance to the overall smell.

T- Starts with a bang of hops bitterness, just like the scent, with prominent pine flavors and just a touch of citrus notes. The bitterness is the dominant flavor throughout the drink, but it falls off after the initial hop assault pretty quick. Lingering flavor is completely bitter hops.

M- This beer is incredibly drinkable and provides the hop flavor profile that hop heads craze, but the overall feel is watery at best. The body of the beer just lacks the weight to support the strong flavor profile.

Overall, a slightly watery, yet very hoppy beer. Classic American micro flagship IPA that is probably better on draft at the source than halfway across the country.

(12oz can) Overall a pretty solid IPA. Nothing really stands out as being a distinctive IPA. Nevertheless, I would have no fuss about drinking a couple of these in a row.

Pours a nice orange-golden color with white head. Grapefruit, citrus, pine, and some grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a pinch of malt.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, citrus zest, and slight herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with sweet citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and slight herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that has a dry, citrus forward hop presence in the taste.

Serving type: can.

Served on-tap at Capitol Beer and Tap Room in Sacramento, CA

Appearance - Clear, golden orange in color served up with a white, half finger of head. Fair retention. Streaky lacing with fair stick.

Smell - Sweet, fruity aroma, while the hops set in strong with pine and grapefruit character.

Taste - Follows the nose; sweet and fruity, with faint traces of candied apricot. Hops are prominent, hitting on grapefruit and pine qualities. Nice, clean finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, drinkable quality.

Overall - This is your classic West Coast IPA, and a nice example of it. Reminiscent of FW Union Jack or SN Torpedo, though I find this to be more approachable. It doesn't break new ground, but it's certainly worth a try, and a good effort made for a relatively young brewery.

Picked up a can from a beer trade. Poured in a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, light, copper coloring with a steady flow of carbonation mist throughout the body, and a low profile, thin, wispy, white head. Aromas of dank hops, grapefruit and orange zest, subtle apricot, caramel, and toasted notes. Tangy and bitter nose, overall. Flavors are tart and bitter forward, heavily so. Wow! Blast of resin and mossy hops characteristics, with pine pitch and pine tassels in the mix, too. Grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and orange zest on the palate, as well. Smooth, light bodied, with a tangy sweet blend of caramel and fruit in the aftertaste, swept up completely by the bitter, resinous linger. The finish is slick, lingering, yet clean, with only a subtle bitterness left behind to gently dry the palate. Tasty, drinkable, hoppy beer! Wow!

Poured a nice one and half fingers of head, too bad it was short lived. The body is a hazy, dark straw color.
The aroma has a great spiciness with lemon and pine.
The taste is a bold, strong pine and lemon bitter from beginning to end. It's held up by a solid malt backbone.
The texture is crisp but smooth with moderate carbonation.
Enjoyable with a great boldness.

Pours hazy raw manuka honey color with nice but short lasting off white head. Aroma of Grapefruit, Pineapple, orange, with other tropical fruits farther in the background. Flavor is slightly malty and bready, a touch of toasted bisquit, with grapefruit, orange, pine, papaya, lemon, slight floral, and very slight caramel malt. The feel is med-light with medium + carbonation. Lays somewhat thick on the tongue for about 30 seconds after swallowing. Overall an easy drinking flavorful IPA that in my opinion could use more late addition hops, but is not bad at all, but not great.

This beer was alright lots of great hop bite, a little low on the hop aroma and flavor though. The beer has a good mouthfeel to it not to thick and cloying like some bigger IPA's can be. I enjoy some of the other beers from track seven a little more.

Attractive clear amber brew with a decent foam in the wine glass. Pleasantly tart and spritzy on the tongue. Apricot and pine needle aromas.

Warm and toasty malt flavors. The fruity flavors are a good balanace with the bitter and sharp. Apple and plum hints with a mango touch. Moderately bitter with a long, fruity, fragrant finish.

Overall, a better than average IPA. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Beer Revolution in Oakland.

Track Seven is a relatively new brewery in the Sacramento region, but they are already gaining an solid reputation.

Their Panic IPA is an American IPA with a strong alcohol content, well-balanced flavors, and with a good nose. The downside is, it is so well-balanced, the flavors can come off as neutral. It makes for quite a refreshing brew, but one which is not quite in the American IPA style. The bouquet is a bit muted. All in all, I enjoyed it throughly and would recommend it to beer fans, but it needs to be either a bit bolder or a bit broader in flavors for the pallet to warrant a better review.

Gold with a white head. Pleasant malt sweetness with tropical fruit notes especially pineapple in the nose. Slightly dank and resinous flavor balanced with slightly sweet malts. Notes of pine and tropical fruit.

On tap, at the Sacramento airport, in a very large shaker pint (pint and a half) glass.

Appearance - A nice copper color. Good clarity. Good stickage. Handsome.

Smell - Hoppy (pine needles).

Taste - A crisp, hop forward flavor, for sure (a mix of grapefruit and pine needles). A nice, caramel malt foundation that plays second fiddle to the hops. Tasty.

Mouth - Fizzy. Oily.

Overall - A high quality West Coast IPA. I enjoyed this beer. It would have been nice had the malt flavor shined through a bit more, though.

Can poured into a pokal glass

It pours a deep golden color with a one finger head that lingers a bit. The head is white with big soapy bubbles. Very carbonated. First smell is a big blast of citrus. Mango, orange, and lemon in the nose. The taste is quite a bit different. I found it to be very pine forward turning to juicy citrus mid palate before the bready finish. Medium bodied, active carbonation, lingering bitterness, and a dry finish. Quality beer that I wouldn't mind buying in PA.

Definitely a decent IPA. A few years ago it would have stood out more for its quality. However nowadays with the multitude of insane hop bombs out there it kind of seems mediocre. Still for what it is it's pretty decent.

Big upfront bitterness. Citrus, orange, in nature, Amarillo? A little bitey/overly bitter. Floral hops, grassy and spicy. Hint of grapefruit. Not super complex in nature. Slight, sweet malty backbone. Slight cereal finish. A nice brew. The nose is wonderful, but the taste falls flat for me. Track 7 is doing great locally. Their flagship beer is a solid West Coast IPA.

first aroma whiff is gumballs from a machine in a liquor store..... sweet and fruity.....
nothing spectacular on the pour, but still smelling gumballs as it sits in front of me.
clean, refreshing taste on the first sip, even after the deviled eggs.... tropical notes, thin, slightly bitter.
no date on the can-an important feature especially when you're wondering why there's no FRICKIN' CARBONATION and you're wondering why because it's so damned flat.....
this could have been EXCEPTIONAL except for the lack of any carbonation.... would love to try one with it...

On tap at BC's Pizza & Beer

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy white head that settles to a nice layer and leaves plenty of lacing.

S: Bright citrus, grapefruit and orange, some pine, light tropical notes, and some caramel sweetness.

T: Citrus, orange and a little grapefruit, a touch of spicy pine, tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, light crackery malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Bright refreshing IPA. This is the first beer from Track 7 that's really impressed me.

Impressed with this one. Nice dry taste all the way through. Not too much depth but a very pleasant IPA that hits the right notes for me. Would smash again.

Probably the most consistent Track 7 beer. Classic west coast IPA, clear golden color, clean hop zing without lingering finish, and good carbonation. Get it fresh and be happy (though there are many other classic IPAs that are very similar - Stone, Union Jack, and Racer 5 come to mind).

Thier other beers range from average to very good and they do try difficult styles (unlike so many IPA style only breweries - ugh) not always the best executed for the other beers. Best brewery in Sacto to date.

I love finding new beers. Had at Firehouse in downtown Sacramento. Had for $3 at happy hour, so how could this go wrong - classic west coast IPA. But nice work. Nice Amber color with continued lacing. Very hoppy beer....but not overwhelming - great stuff. Hope to hear more from Track 7

I've been looking for a consistent clone of the Dechutes "fresh squeezed IPA"
Because that beer sometimes ends up being skunked or a little iffy when sitting for a while, I have some hesitation buying it. but it does have my favorite IPA profile, and the Panic IPA is basically an undying version.

Panic IPA is like the permeable fancy version of a Fresh Squeezed IPA. All the sweet hoppy bitter citrus mixes with almost NONE of the lingering aftertaste that you acquire with a heavy citrus IPA.

Super impressed with this beer, will be buying it again, can't wait to try a FRESH brewed batch or on tap....
But then again I have Terrible Taste
