This pours a tan golden. Floral and crisp aroma, lots of citrus notes. Wonderful finish, bursting with flavor. Delicious IPA. Would definitely drink again.

Appearance: Pours a clear, brilliant golden color; the head rises a full two fingers and just sticks forever; gobs of splashy lace line the glass as the liquid is consumed

Smell: Fresh hop farm aromatics, with pink grapefruit, tangerine and spearmint tones

Taste: Shortbread malt flavors lay a slightly sugary base, with the pink grapefruit, tangerine and spearmint flavors building through the middle; after the swallow, the bitterness builds, but it is offset by the sugary malt flavors

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: With NE IPAs and other tropical fruit forward IPAs being the rage, it has been a while since I have had a classic West Coast IPA and this one is a great example; even though it is 4 1/2 months old, it is drinking very nicely indeed

Poured from a can into a Dogfish Head tulip. Thanks much to DEK196 for including in a trade!

L: Clear medium to light golden pour. Two fingers of foamy white head. Spotty lacing.

S: Pine and herbal hops. A bit of lemon zest.

T/F: Biscuity malts... classic West Coast IPA. Medium body and a solid evergreen/citrus hop profile. Very clean... sticky on the tongue at the finish.

O: A very solid west coast IPA. Great flavor and hop profile. Love the style and this is a great representation.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: murky light-golden hue with a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. A nice-looking beer.

Smell: sweetly malty with a fruity, citrusy, piney aroma. The sweetness overtakes the hops more than I like, but still a nicely-composed beer.

Taste: grapefruity and piney, with a sweet and slightly toasty malt flavor. I like the hops a lot, but it's still a bit too sweet for my taste. The label suggests this beer has "grapefruit, pine, biscuit", and I largely agree that it's successful in that description.

Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a moderate carbonation and a pretty decent creaminess.

Overall: this is an example of a decent, well-wrought beer that just doesn't happen to fall into my palate's preferences. It's quite drinkable and the hops are good, but the sweetness is just too much.

Look is good and smell is amazing. Initial taste is of nice sweet peaches and tangerines. Mouthfeel is amazing. It is an extremely well balanced beer.
