A: 1 finger head, hazy golden amber
S: nice resinous bite with touches of sweetness and pine, some citrus in there too but not too much, pine is up front, seems a touch mentholated, not minty mind you, just barely stinging the nose a bit
T: amber malts come through, bitterness is mild but present, not overwhelming, a touch of sweetness and base malt, pleasant
m: I honestly wish it was stickier
O: solid and enjoyable, more on the east coast end so on that note good because in some respects those always seem to be in shorter supply than they should be given the proliferation of the west coast style, good not great

On-tap at the brewery.

A: Clear copper body, thin off-white head. Weak retention and lacing. Meh.

S: Sweet caramel/toffee malt, a hint of butterscotch, and some piney hops. Enjoyable, but not what I'm looking for in an IPA.

T: Follows the nose - sweet, sticky, and ultimately resinous and bitter. All good flavors, but out of proportion for the style.

M: Light-to-medium body with carbonation that's prickly at first, creamy at the end. Pretty intense, and helpful in countering the sweetness.

O: Far too many specialty malts for my taste in an IPA, and nowhere near enough late-addition hops to give the aroma some life. I could see this being an approachable, gateway hoppy beer for customers new to the style, so perhaps it makes sense for this particular brewery, but it just wasn't my kind of IPA.

Cheers!

L-Darker beer with a solid single finger head. The head hugs the side of the glass.
S-Piney hops, mellow citrusy hops, sweet and grassy rooted scent alcohol booze follows.
T-Bitter and mellow. Malty, pleasant and sweet.
F-Crisp and fresh. Goes well with the flavor.
O-Very tasty and refreshing beer. Better than a lot, not the best though. Nothing bad at all. Solid brew from a solid brewery.

Best of the bunch for these guys beers. Low bitterness and pretty smooth for an Ipa frankly but decent hop bite. The oddest think though was that this beer straight up smelled like the dank. I put my nose in and took and sip and started looking around. Smelled again and yep.... it's the beer. Weirdest damn thing.
