Poured from 32 oz growler into snifter.

A: Clear golden orange with 2 finger fluffy white head with nice retention and leaving moderate lacing.

S: Orange zest, grapefruit, and fresh pine needles. Subtle hints of baked bread and honey.

T: Blend of piney and citrus hops combined with a healthy malt backbone. Grapefruit with a touch of honey.

M: Medium body with average carbonation. Finish showcases some hop bitterness.

O: Solid DIPA. Something I would buy again for sure.

Poured from a litre growler into a Weihenstephaner Vitus goblet. Many thanks to freduardo & kirkpjr.

A: A nice finger of head tops an exceedingly-clear amber liquid. A few streams of bubbles.

S: Pleasant, tropical hops. (Nelson Sauvin?) Loads of juicy mangos, red grapefruit, pine resin, and general hoppiness. Soft, powerful, and incredibly pleasant.

T: This is mouth-wateringly bitter. Up there with Hopslam, Devil Dancer, and Double Platinum. Still, it's good. Damn good. There's not much balance to speak of, but the hops are the sort I like...they're clean and vaguely citrusy, with a whiff of the Talladega National Forest. (All garlicky/earthy qualities are avoided.) Sharing this with friends who "don't like IPAs" was bizarre, but it received unanimous approval, with nary a remark on the overwhelming hoppiness this hophead is tasting. The finish is lingering and excellent.

M: Pretty unremarkable.

O: Fresh and delicious. A really great DIPA that comes highly recommended. I might have to make it back to Birmingham to check this brewery out.
