Had my first locally in Birmingham,AL on a business trip. Stopped into WOB. It is slightly sweet, and refreshing. Nice pale clear yellow. Good beer but nothing special.

A: crystal clear; pale straw in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a wispy cap; very little lacing;

S: grass first the pilsner malt and a little spice;

T: apple up front; a little floral in the middle; pale malt in the background; very mild bitterness on the finish;

M: light bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: very easy drinking; not especially interesting;

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky yellow with a small white head. The aroma is a fruit and hops. The taste is hops with some fruit at the back end.

When you are woodyChANdler, you open boxes filled with CANned beers & embroidered cloth patches. It's what you do! My hat goes off to UncleJedI & purple Hat Joan for a stellar hookup recently! The CANQuest (tm) lives on!

From the CAN: "Passion Like a River Flows"; "Jump In"; "Sit On the Bank of Life or Jump In.": "Cahaba's Ameri[CAN] Blonde is sure to please with a unique blend of [CAN]tinental malts and hops. The slightly spicy and herbal qualities of noble hops give this beer an unmistakable profile. The result is a wonderfully crisp and clean ale. Crafting thoughtfully inspired beers is our passion, so jump in and fall in love with our blonde."

The Crack! in this case revealed a brimful craft CAN that sprayed across my fingers. A Blonde that squirts. Hmmm. I seized the moment to CANduct an inverted Glug, which created two fingers of fluffy, bone-white head with moderate retention. Color was a slightly hazy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4). Nose smelled like a German Pilsner with a malty backbone accompanied by a grassy Noble hop presence. I'm down with it, but is it really an AmeriCAN Blonde? Mouthfeel was soft, lightly carbonated and very easy going down. The taste was biscuity malt with a grassiness from the hops that did nothing to change my mind about its style, except that it is an ale. Finish was semi-dry and the malt flavor seemed to linger well past the swallow, but it would be nice on a hot summer's day. It was a refreshing beer, but I really need more hops.

Split a six-pack at the Barber Motorsports Park watching vintage motorcycle races with Bro and Bob. Decent enough blonde ale to session with and not get blotto.

On tap at the brewery.
Hazy yellow, with a milky character.
Smells yeasty-sweet with citrus overtones.
Yum! Really bright and citrusy. Clean, with the aftertaste being mostly wheat and a beautiful light tang from the yeast. Well-carbonated. Almost minerally in its sharp cleanness.
Refreshing and fun.
A really nice, easy-drinking beer. Recommended to all!

Hazy yellow color,light white head, nice retention and lacing. Slight Fruity aroma. Fruity hop flavors, with a bit of light malt sweetness. Medium bodied, with a creamy finish. Nice beer, would probably buy more of these if they were available locally.

Tap at Hop City. Pours clear pale gold with white head. Aroma of grain and malts and slightly hoppy. Tastes of malts, hops and somewhat bitter. Dry finish with medium carbonation. Not too bad

On-tap at the brewery.

A: Clear pale gold body with a finger of fine white head. Ok retention, spotty lace.

S: Predominantly hoppy (surprisingly so, considering it's 5.5% and only 20 IBUs), with tropical fruity and bright floral notes. Some pale, crackery malt as well. Very good.

T: Light and balanced, with lightly sweet malt coexisting happily with citrus and herbal bitterness. Clean, refreshing finish. Terrific Blonde.

M: Light-bodied and well-carbonated. Excellent.

O: My only complaint with this beer is that it's ABV is a little higher than I'd like for a session style. It's definitely one of the tastiest Blondes I've had, and I just wish I could taste more of it at a sitting.
