Great brewery - very large. Can't speak to the vibe as it's quiet tonight. Good food truck selection. Nice selection of beers, but could be more numerous. Beers are good, althoughb a bit weak. Service was great!

Cahaba is located in a large old factory like building....huge bar area with tables galore and vintage video games....plus a huge party hall area. The quality of beer was fine but nothing blew me away. The service was fine....in process mode as opposed to intimate/friendly mode. They had 12 beers to choose from.

Probably the most beautiful taproom I went to in Birmingham. The brewery is in an old cotton gin manufacturing building. They have kept certain things in place to let you know where you are at. The room is massive and had a back room with pinball games, the main room had several skee ball games and some other things. Only issue I had here was when they are packed, it can take a while to get a beer. Beer was ok, the White IPA was probably the best thing there. Great people, spent some time talking to their sales director. I kept finding myself drawn back to this place while I was there for the weekend. Great environment.

I guess I went at a bad time. There was a party of some sort there, so the place was uncomfortably packed with people who knew everyone there other than my group.
The quality of beer was good, but they didn't have any glasses for the beer. So I had to drink from a plastic cup.
The service was good though, and they had a food truck outside.
The selection was sparse unfortunately, Maybe 8-12 beers to select from?
Anyway.. Wasn't a terrible experience. I probably just went on a wrong day.

I liked the layout, as for the brewery itself. Very industrial like the city it resides in. BUT, it was very hard to find, and almost hidden in a dark parking lot.

Excellent brewery and taproom in a warehouse district in Birmingham. I got to meet Andy while I was there and got a personal tour in addition to the great beer I was drinking. The taproom area is open and clean. One wall is all glass which provides a great view of the brewery itself and makes the huge room seem all the larger. This is an excellent brewery and a must visit when you're in Birmingham.

I visited Cahaba Brewing on a Saturday night in late May 2016. Earlier in the day I had met Andy, one of the partners, and his lovely wife. Andy invited me into the production section of the brewery a wonderful historical tour of the building. They are located in an old warehouse style building that housed a cotton gin manufacturing facility in the 1800s. When they leased the building, Andy's wife, who is an architect, designed the space for the current brewery. It's a very cool layout, with plenty of room for chatting and free skee ball!

On Saturday night, the large space was full with a mostly young crowd. What a great vibe. I was excited to see such a fun beer spot in Birmingham. They had about 10 beers on tap; I sampled most of them and felt the overall quality was decent. There was nothing real exciting, but nothing bad either. They are clearly catering to the masses, not so much to the beer geeks, which is probably a great business strategy in Alabama. Nevertheless, this is definitely a good place to visit if you are in town. It's just down the road from Hop City, which is a great stop in itself.

Cahaba was a cool little brewery in an industrial section of Birmingham. The staff was friendly and the owner took some time to tell us his story. We sampled the Blonde, Amber, Kiwi Kolsch, Single Hop IPA, Irish Stout, Rye Stout, Oka Uba IPA, Frax Double IPA, Flagship IPA, and the Belgian. I loved the IPA'a and the Belgian, my wife liked the Stouts. Definitely worth a stop and you can't beat the free Skee Ball!!

A very small brewery, perhaps a microbrewery. Not much parking spaces (but we were riding the hotel shuttle). Great prices on a flight (4 for $5) Some games over in a corner. Not many people were there at the time. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not very exciting, but if you're looking for laid back, this is the place. Terrific beer. Glad we got to visit.
