11.2 oz. stubby Belgian style bottle,

A: Pours a deep goldenrod with a powerful white head, good lace.

S: Nose is heavily estery - peach, orange, yellow apples. Flowery.

T: Flavour is again dominated by the yeast flavours. Musty oranges, peach, apple, wildflowers, and just a hint of barnyard. Quite tasty.

M: Medium-bodied, tad overcarbonated but only just. Dry finish. Solid Belgian mouthfeel.

D: For being probably 6 months older than ideal it's pretty good, but it's a saison not a BPA so it should hold up. $6 isn't outrageous in this category, so it's a solid pickup.

Poured from an 11.2 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is very cloudy orange yellow color with a small white head. The aroma has an OK smell of malt and hops. The taste is better than the aroma but it is very sour.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, wheat, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balanced fruity/earthy yeast, bready malt, and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, floral, grass, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, hops, and bready malt flavors; with good robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this a nice and pleasant summer saison style. Well balanced yeast, hop, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Poured into a 3 Monts tulip. Pours a cloudy pale yellow amber with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Active carbonation. Aroma of lemon citrus, saison yeast, apple juice; slightly funky. Flavor is dry lemon and apple juice, mixed citrus, finishes with sweet and sour citrus and lingering lemon. The yeast leans towards a saison style, but also has a slight, fuller bready component. Light bodied, but pleasant prickly carbonation. An interesting light pale ale / saison hybrid. Flavors are kind of one dimensional, but extra points for it being unique; one of the more lemon forward ales I've tasted. The picture of a bicyclist on the front is great; this would be a refreshing, citrus ale for after cycling.

small stout bottle poured into tulip. no bottled on date.

A: brew is a hazy, lazy straw yellow. head is bright white and has good retention, lacing is minimal.

S: a lot of esters from the yeast here. a bit of isoamyl. a slight sweetness, mild hop aroma.

T: super spicy. a yeasty bitterness combines with fermentation flavors that remind me of a german hefe. minimal hop flavor or bitterness. residual sweetness lingers with fermentation flavors long into the finish.

M: a big carb on a medium bodied brew.

D: not too shabby. refreshing, spicy, and a bit of zest. certainly could drink a few of these in the sun.

A: The beer is rather hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with delicate lacing on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light aromas of lemon citrus in the nose along with some hints of yeast.
T: Like the smell, the taste is lemony and has some flavors of wheat with a light amount of sourness. There are some faint hints of coriander spices towards the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is extremely easy to drink, refreshing and quite unique. It seems most similar to a witbier, except for the lemon citrus flavors and sourness. This is definitely a good choice for a beer on a hot summer day.

On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, on to the beer:

Golden colored, topped off by a creamy head which retains itself well. There ends up being a lot of lace clinging to the glass as the beer goes down. Its aroma is mild, a little fruity. There are aromas of pear and cider, and a touch of barnyyard funk. Not too crazy, quite clean.

The easy going flavor of apple cider and subtle funkiness make this saison easy to drink. It features a light body, gentle crispness, a pleasant dryness, whcih helps make this saison a refreshing option for a summer day.

330ml bottle, bottled in november or december (notch is exactly in the middle) 2011

A- Pours a slightly hazy golden colour, with lots of carbonation bubbles. One finger white head, scarse retention but still a decent amount of lacing is left on the sides of the glass

S- Mild, earthy yeast aroma, with a nice amount of spiciness backing up, bringing some life. Some lemon notes can be also detected

T- Mild, pleasant tartness upfront; with a distinctly spicy, zesty/citric feel; very refreshing. Just a touch of malty sweetness showing up, along with some earthy yeast notes (which were more easily noticed after the second, final pour). Refreshing grassy/herbal notes in the finish. A nice, zesty aftertaste is left on the mouth. One of the most refreshing beers i've ever had

M- Light body with a quite generous amount of carbonation, which mainly shows up on the palate, bringing a nice prickly feel to the beer's spicy citric flavours. Maybe a bit too watery and anonymous on the tongue, where carbonation somehow feels lower

O- Had this while watching tour de france, with very high temperatures outside, and it was just the perfect beer to drink at the moment; light, refreshing, but still rich with spicy, citric flavours. A very nice beer
