The beer on the aroma offers plum wine, sweet bourbon, alcohol, oak, caramel.

The beer follows with a sweet caramel, lots of toasty and sweet malts, a bourbon quality throughout, some hops on the way.

A well made BA American barleywine.

Really well balanced barleywine with dried dark fruits and caramel/candi sugar notes. The bourbon helps balance the sweetness but doesn't shine. Warming but not boozy. Mouthfeel is a tad slick. Smell leads right into the expected flavor. Really well made barleywine highlighted by the barrel but not overpowered.

Great aroma, lots of toffee, caramel, vanilla, and whiskey. The flavor profile is similar, but much less complex with a dominant note of dried fruit and a strongly boozy finish. Seems a little bit over the top for something they specifically refer to as an English barleywine. It probably needs some age to mellow out the crazy ABV.
