Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at Rapp Brewing Company tasting room.

A: Hazy, nearly opaque straw-colored, with a one-finger white head and low visible carbonation.

S: Wheat and pilsner malts, a bit of funk, and a savory sulfurous tartness.

T: Wheat grainy, salty, lemon citrus, mild sulfur tones, some barnyard, and a nice lactic tartness in the back of the mouth. Dry and salty on the finish.

M: Light body, low alcohol presence, and good carbonation sensation.

O: This might be the only (first) example of the style I've had, but I find it quite enjoyable. Nothing I'd always have in the fridge, but easy to drink, refreshing, and definitely an interesting style.

Thanks to Aaron for opening up this beer!

750 ml bottle sealed with a pressure cap and sticker.

poured into HF wine stem.

Appearance: translucent and sparkling pale yellow bodied beer with a massive bone white head atleast 3 fingers tall. head has some great staying power.

Smell: A crisp, clean, bright, smelling beer. A light tart note of lemon. A hint of bready or crackery malts. Not a very complex nose, but it smells fantastic.

Taste: A light tart note of lemons just like the nose. The beer finishes with just enough salt so that you know that its there. This beer is so balanced and well rounded it is simply fantastic!

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carboantion. Almost semidry, but not quite. The beer feels so light and "airy". Insanely drinkable. The beer feels delicate and slightly creamy.

Overall: Elegant and sophistocated Gose. Its easily the best Gose that I have ever had. It is effortlessly better that Westbrook Gose. I have honestly never heard of Rapp brewery before, but I will be keeping an eye out for them now. This beer has absolutely no flaws.

NYE growler share courtesy of stevencon. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow. Thin white head and same collar. Aroma is lemony and very light dry barn-like funk. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with a slight briney-ness to it. Nice light body and mediumly carbonated.

32 ounce growler brought back from a Florida trip by a friend.

Poured into a nonic 20 ounce glass.

Beautifully foamy and full pale white head with excellent persistence. Settles into a lacy film that sits over the body. The body looks like cloudy lemonade with a lot of sugar at the base or maybe an Arnold Palmer that's 95% lemonade and 5% tea. Long story short, it's cloudy straw colored and almost golden and brown towards the center. 4.25

That smell is what I love in a gose. So bright and robust. Nothing tame here. Salt leaps out as does a lemon-y aroma, wheatiness and light notes of sweeter pale malt. Smells refreshing. 4.5

Okay this is nice. I can't help but compare it to other goses and here's my first thought with the taste: the wheat base is much more noticeable than AV's or WB's goses. It reminds me of the Off Color gose in that there's some sweetness and real witbier feel here. Thankfully the flavors not all sweet or I'd be a tad disappointed. It's got a significant mineral flavor and light lemon flavor. About mid-palate the salt hits and carries out the finish. 4

Refreshing as all hell. Not as aggressively tart as some of the other goses with greater fanfare but I get down. This one is exceptionally easy-drinking. The body's light and medium carbonation feels just right here. The finish is dry and salty and obliges me to take subsequent sips. That's well done. 4.25

This is a nice one. Bring on the goses. I want them all. But I could rock with this one regularly. Flavorful but also so easy to slam.
