On-tap at Alvarado Street Brewery, Monterey, CA

A: The beer is hazy light yellow in color. It poured with a thin bright white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit and lemony hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste is a near mirror image of the smell. It starts off with some flavors of lemony hops and finishes with grapefruit. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is easy to drink yet quite flavorful. It isn't overly bitter.

Growler to glass.
Look: Hazy yellow and frothy head.
Smell: Tropical heaven.
Taste: Tropical and dank.
Feel: Low carbonation, smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of bitterness.
Overall: Solid. Almost like a NE IPA, but still got the dankness of west coast IPA. So easy to drink and perfect for this 90 degree weather. Straight refreshing!

Tulip pour at the brewery.

Muddled peach color. Slight head and lace. Not much to look at. 3.25

Peach and mango fruitiness. Yeasty on the nose and in that vein also floral. Some biscuity malt shows too. 3.75

Close to the nose but heavily yeasty and floral to the point it overshadows subtler fruit flavors and biscuity malt. Not enough fruit pop for my taste. 3.75

Yeast-heavy. Zesty. Light and refreshing. Easy to throw back before a dry, chalky lingering finish. 3.5

Decent.

L: cloudy, dull orange
S: faint fruity hops, licorice, must, skunky
T: same as smell
M: heavy, below average carbonation
O: pretty decent but not worth seeking out...definitely disappointing given the reviews about the brewery and this beer that I have seen

IPA w/Simcoe and Galaxy. Nice lemon citrus character that finishes with bitter (white) grapefruit notes. Solid backbone. Very clean- their IPAs are not as well known and quite tasty.

Cloudy and light orange or dark yellow poured into a tulip glass. Excellent carbonation. Unfiltered look and feel. Tropical fruits especially mango with orange for sure. CRUSHABLE and JUICY! Intensely refreshing. I felt like I could drink gallons of this on hot summer day.

Growler. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head that has decent retention and good lacing. Tropical fruits, lots of mango, pineapple. Taste is dry with a lot of pineapple and mango. Quite dry. Finish is very dry with not much bitterness. Might like a little bit more bitterness. Medium body. Medium-low carbonation. Quite good.

Pours light orange-ish yellow. It's quite hazy, completely clouded over. Medium-sized head. Nice and thick. Pure white. Lots of bubbles on the walls of the glass. The aroma is juicy and full of excellent hop flavor. There's pine, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, blackberry, lemon, grass. Nice dank aroma. As it warms, it gets increasingly juicy. Just a little bit of biscuity malt character. I probably wouldn't notice it without a taste, but the mineral flavor also comes through. It's a sorta chalky water note, hard to describe, but it seems to be common to the recent crop of excellent hoppy beers. The taste is juicy with the same dank hop flavor and a very pleasant mineral note. Very easy to drink. Enough sweetness to bring out the hop flavors, but the beer finishes dry. Moderately bitter. Lots of hop flavor in the taste. Smooth feel. Normal carbonation, though I guess that's to be expected as it's a growler fill. Very good IPA. Extremely easy to drink. Refreshing. Lots of flavor. Good bitterness level.

750 mL growler. Thanks Johnny.

Pours a cloudy dark golden apricot color with a dense creamy white head; head fades to a thin collar with soapy clumps of lace. Very aromatic nose; leafy, floral, pine, lemon and little undertone of biscuit malt. Flavor has an initial juicy citrus sweetness before the earthier, more bitter hops take over. Lemon, grapefruit rind and pine before finishing with a floral and grassy bitter punch. Finish lingers a little too bitter for my taste but not much of a problem. Lovely full body, well carbonated, oily and slick with a resiny, chewy aftertaste. Reminds me a little of HF Excursion 1.

On tap at the brewery. Clear gold pour with a white head. Whoa, super dank aroma. Leafy weedy resin bomb throughout, I love the oily resin mouthfeel, just brimming with bitterness. This is so dank. I don’t even say dank in my general lexicon but this is diggity dank a lank, ya heard?
