If Saison as a beer style is related to the farm, Grisette is its counterpart in the mines. Fermented entirely in French oak, Lady in Grey owes her opacity to a high percentage of malted and flaked wheat. While her natural haze suggest sustenance, our Grisette remains bright and refreshing, independent and alluring. Lady in Grey's bohemian existence, her celebration of all things good, makes her a powerful muse of inspiration. We hope that you, too, will fall under this Lady's influence. Sante!

enjoyed from a sara's cellar tulipy bulb. poured soft murky yellow thin head that didn't hang out at all. nose is lemony oak...soft and refreshing. taste is also oaky with smarties like candied sweetness...some dryness. very white wine. barrel is superb. really tasty brew. love these BA saisons from SARA, they are really spot on for what I look for in flavor.

B7 from April of 2020.

Nice, clean looking beer. Apple juice in color with a fizzy, white head and excellent clarity. Aroma is a clean funk that doesn't linger long, but entices from up close.

Taste is wonderful. I get green apple, lemongrass and a light earthy funk. Acidity is spot on for me....it's clearly there, but not over the top. Crisp, dry and super, super easy to drink.

Overall, excellent beer.

Well, when I ordered this from MBC it had been the highest rated Grisette on BA for quite some time. Given my luck, the day after it was edged out by a different beer. Sigh. Well, while I may not be making progress on my goal to try the highest rated example of every style with this one, at least I’m finally getting to try a beer from Sante Adarius. Let’s get into it

Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a finger of soapy white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing

It's super bright in the nose and brings plenty of funk, but in a succinct way, if that makes any sense. I'm picking up on aromas of lemon zest, crackery malt, wildflower honey, wet hay, sharp oak, tannic white wine, earthy wheat, white pepper, and green tea

It packs even more of a punch in taste than I was expecting, really just turning the aroma up to 10. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting lemon juice, sharp oak, wildflower honey, apple skin, tart white grape, wet hay, earthy wheat, and light white pepper. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, lemon zest, earthy wheat, crabapple, tannic white wine, stone, wet hay, green tea, white pepper, and light honey

A light medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a sharp and refreshing beer. Finishes mostly dry with a balanced funk

Oh man, this is awesome stuff. I could sip this all day, it's a damn shame I only have this 750. I need more SARA beers in my life

Appearance - The beer poured a golden yellow color with white bubbles crowning the glass.

Smell - The nose was dominated by bright lemon.

Taste - Initially, lemon and funk dominated the profile. The Earl Grey notes stayed toward the back. As it warmed, the tea notes brightened and the wine barrel became more apparent. Lemon rind notes linger.

Mouthfeel - The carbonation was fairly aggressive with a dry feel lingering.

Overall - I enjoyed this beer more than anticipated.

L: Very generic golden yellow ale.
S: Very intense grass note funk unlike anything else I've had before.
T: A very sharp and crisp but smooth grisette. One strong body into a very quiet and grassy finish.
F: Tangy and sharp.
O: A very smooth beer with a light simple punch.

From a bottle from the brewery poured at slightly below room temp.
Hazy to clear straw yellow. Fine lacy bubbles.
Citrusy grassy smell.
Grass, lemon, slightly funky taste.
Extremely dry and crisp. Bitter but not hoppy. Very palatable.
For better or worse tastes like a white wine with carbonation to me.
