Seems necessary to mix up the dregs on these SARA fruit beers. First pour was still seeming, clear, canned fruit punch juice. Taste was basically the sangria of beers. But, wow - when you got towards the middle to bottom of the bottle it became cloudy magenta, the body improved from watery to softly chewy, and the depth of fruit and yeast character exploded.

If I'd done a subtle mixing before drinking I think my impression would have been even more favorable.

750ml bottle, served in a SARA stemmed glass.

Pours a dark ruby red body, one finger white head with solid retention which eventually drops into nothing. A little bit of wispy collar, not much lacing. It looks like what I expected it to based on the fruit content. Smells of a bit of hay, oak, lactic acid, blackberries, a bit of jam, moderate acetic acidity. This smells more like a fruited wild, much like Fruit Punch #1 did. It's moderately acidic on the palate, which I really enjoy. Lots of blackberries, boysenberries, berries in general. Oak, mild lactic acid, more acetic acidity rounds things out. It's not incredibly complex, but the flavours it gives out are phenomenal here. Plenty of fruit character, really nice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit on the lower side of carbonation. Plenty of berries on the backend. Overall, lots of dark fruited berries with that nice combination of acetic and lactic acid that is nicely sour. Not too complex, but I really enjoyed this.

The beer looks like straight Kool Aid.

The aroma hits of berry seeds, a bit of blackberry jam, fruit rolls ups, a touch of tart berries, a light crackery malt.

The beer hits of straight berry juice, some berry seeds, a light bready malt, a medium plus lactic tart.

The beer is red with some magenta. Little to no head. Just some white bubbles. The aroma is blackberries, cherries, raspberries and tart lime-ish lacto tartness. Very fruity flavor. Mild sourness. Mild phenolic character comes out as it warms. Light and refreshing. Very easy to drink. I prefer #1 because it's a bit cleaner with nicer funk and less acidity. It just seems like a slightly better marriage of saison and fruit. Still, #2 is very enjoyable.

Pour is much darker than 1, ruby red, hazed, light pink head. Nose is really light, raspberry puree, lacto, some fuddled malt. Taste follows suit, muddled malt, lacto, raspberry, nothing too strong, a little sweet, hints of a rubbery phenol in the finish. Fuller body, a touch syrupy, moderate carb.

thanks drunkensloth, enjoyed side-by-side a fruit punch 1. simply gorgeous look. 1 is a murky orange with a glow vs the fruit punch deep magenta of 2. both stunning, but fruit punch 2 is amazing looking. at first I felt that 1 killed it w the cherry and raspberry but as 2 warmed...oh my! the berries are intense and work great...killer beer. both are different, but awesome on their own way

Super subtle but a light fluffy saison with some berry. Overall kinda disappointed based off what people ask for in trades, I was hoping it would be on par with the Cask Strawberry type stuff I had but definitely wasn't. So glad I didn't trade for this one but also happy I was able to try it.

Medium red bodied beer with small white head. Jammy berries with a decent sourness in the aroma. Tastes of a jammy berry medley and is very fruit forward. Sourness is 4 out of 10. Hint of lacto sourness, but it is mostly acetic. Very simple flavor profile, but very delicious. Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation levels. Moderate dry finish combined with juicy berries. Very drinkable and carbonation is perfect for the style. This is an outstanding beer. This is the second SARA beer that I have tried. I am a huge fan of SARA, they do farmhouse beer as good as Hill Farmstead, Side Project, and Jester King.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy and murky red body. Thin collar.

Smell - Lots of oak. Light berry and wine mix. Acidic.

Taste - Berry fruits. Sour immediately. Pretty strong. Oak is strong too. Gives ita bit of yogurtI in the finish. It does have a bit of a fruit punch flavor in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium light body. Low carbonation.

Overall - Very tasty. The flavor blend together very well.

On tap at Lupulo, bottle at Sante. Bottle>>Tap. Most fruit forward Sante beer yet. Reminicant of de Garde wilds. Over all one of the top 5 Sante beers yet imo.

As with many of SARA's wonderful beers, Fruit Punch #2 is both delicate and demanding. A beautiful color, light body, and awesome funk make this one particularly distinctive. A fairly unique offering which I would not hesitate to drink again.
