Pour is lightly hazed golden amber with a tight white head. Nose is oaky, vanilla, bright, lemon, hay. Taste is a bit sweeter, slightly eggy, oak, lemon grass, herbal hops, syrupy feel and moderate to high carb, fairly dry finish, lingering sweetness.

A 750ml bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a Chimay goblet glass.

Appearance: A hazy darkish orange colour with a half finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly to a thin fluffy and replenishing cap, while leaving some nice lacing.

Aroma: Tart, redcurrants, apple, oak, funky, peach skin.

Taste: Sour, tart, plum, prunes, apricot, redcurrant, and oak, with funky notes.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall: Blond Quad? What’s that? Well, it is self described as a made up style. Before pouring, I thought it was a Quad, so I poured it into a goblet glass, but I’m going to call it a Wild Ale, and whatever you call it, this is still very good. Great sour, tart, fruity and barrel aging flavours, combined with a well hidden abv, just makes this extremely enjoyable.

Thanks, Sam.

A clear light amber with a dense, off-white head that falls off to a disk leaving thin lacing. The nose is a nice blend of funk and lactic acidity, honey, candied oranges, a touch of stone fruit, mango, some tropical fruit - or put another way, not very quad like. Honeydew melon, cantaloupe, fruity white wine, a touch of mineral, some vanilla and oak tannins are present. Minimal yeast spice. The palate opens pleasantly sour with a nice blend of aggressive lactic acid and a little lime-like lip smacking sourness. Fruity and sweet flavors combine, with raw nectarine and peaches, ripe mango and cantaloupe, floral orange blossom honey and a touch of vanilla. Drying on the finish with a mild carbonic acid bite. Medium in body, this beer is pretty excellent.

I was expecting a quad, but this is a sour beer. Green apples with some tartness. Funky and sour. Not sure where the quad style label is coming from, but I liked this beer. Just a sour, not a quad.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.

Hazy yellow body with a quarter inch of white head. Aromas of tart citrus, funk. Medium to full bodied with tangy carbonation. Orange and grapefruit rind. Mild acetic character. Blonde quad? Huh? What? Whatever, it's tasty.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Hazy orange. Small white head. Smells yeasty and citrusy. A little acidic. Tastes fruity and malty. Lightly vinegary. Oaky, dry. Lingering stone fruity sweetness and a touch of a spicy finish. Medium heavy. Medium carbonation. Pretty tasty, but not something I could drink much of.

Honey golden with moderate carbonation and a finger of off white head.

Smells like Brett and funk, lambic acidic quality, oak barrel and dusty brewery.

The taste is tart and sour with dry apricots, Brett funk, oak barrel, dusty brewery and a lambic like quality. A honey quality, but with no sweetness, whatsoever.

Medium to thick, acidic body with moderate to little carbonation.

I got this in Redding, where I am drinking it , March 23rd, 2019. Excellent brew, just no where near the representation of a dark Belgian quad, so typically laden with candy sugar and dark fruity notes.

poured from a 750mL bottle into a stemmed wine glass. pours a dark orange with minimal dirty white head. oaky, white wine on the nose with some slight Belgian esters. taste is extremely smooth for the almost 10% abv. the esters are kept in check by the oak and it’s all rounded out with a nice, airy mouthful. not my favorite SARA offering but a very unique one.
