Bottles shared by Curran- thanks dude.

This one pours a soft straw yellow, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.

Smells like soft yogurty tartness, apricots, tart clementine, hay funk, and white wine.

This is an absolutely wonderful blend here. The West Ashley shines through a little bit, with soft apricot tartness, and a nice general honey sweet and citrus acidity, along with minerally funk, hay, grassiness, and lots of white wine barrel. It's so soft and drinkable and delicious.

This is pretty light bodied, with a soft, light, and present level of carbonation.

SARA just about kills it at everything, example #1,340,777,129 here.

Another perfect SARA saison that is just overshadowed by a couple other SARA bottles (To The Choir, WoL HF).

L: Pours out a light golden with a thin white head, sticks on the edge of the glass for a bit. S: Wine barrel, lemon zest, some SARA funk. T: A honey sweetness on the front end, followed up by a tart lemon zest, then that characteristic SARA yeast funk. Finish a somewhat dry, very white wine and a nice oak finish. M: Right where you want a BA saison should be, medium to light body with a little carbonation to really keep it lively. O: So reminiscent of CD 14 with SARA funk. The flavor on this beer is amazing, carbonation is spot on and that oak on the very back keeps you coming back for more.

750ml bottle, poured into a Sante Adairius snifter glass. Enjoyed on 1.16.16, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a bright gold color, very pale, hues of lemon and straw, hazy and cloudy with minimal activity in the glass that yields a thick white head, very good retention and spots of lace. The aroma is pleasant, funky, yeasty, wheaty, with a nice mineral water profile that leads into white wine, oak and mild citrus. It's pretty straight forward what I would expect for the term "wine barrel aged saison" and is very reminiscent of Cask 200. The flavors echo the nose, lemon tartness, mineral water, oak, bright white wine, light acidity, mild funk and must, tart wheat that lingers well. It has a medium body, fizzy carbonation that is crisp and dry with a soft and easy finish.

Verdict: A very nice saison from Sante Adairius and one that has aged well in the wine barrels. Bright and delicate, refreshing and easy going, not the most complex and involved barrel aged saison I've had, but one that hits all the marks.

The aroma is floral, attacks with lemon tart, hay funk, apricot, nectarine.

The flavor follows with the bright flavors of a creamy yogurt tart quality. The mid palate is soft with a honey comb sweetness that balances the intial tartness. Fruit qualities of nectarines and apricots also come into play as the West Ashley part of the blend peeks its head.
