Thanks to eyebereej for sending this one! Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Received bottle in mid-2017. 2016 vintage bottle, 750 mL. Poured into an El Catador Barrel Aged glass.

A: Pours a bright body that seems only very mildly hazy, plus some chill haze at the pour. Forms a half-finger white head that fades to a ring and a smattering of foam after a bit. Visible carbonation on the low side of average.

S: Mild lactic and citric tart, dry vinous, and dried stone fruits. Cracker malts, mild basement funk. Nice enough, but not a big aroma overall.

T: Lemons, citric acid, and lactic tart. Cracker malts and white oak and dry vinous. Apricots, and some minerals and or salinity mid-palate. Mild Brettanomyces funk. Dry lemon rind. A clean dry finish, with a mild funk and lingering tartness.

M: A light body and good carbonation sensation. Low alcohol presence.

O: Really tasty and easy to drink. It’s not overly sour at all. Mild but present funk, mild but present vinous (though I would have guessed white wine). It stays dry without being overly so, complimented by the fruity citric acid and impression of stone fruits. I wish it was maybe just a little funkier, or more “saison-like”, but it’s good as it is. Very refreshing.

750 mL bottle. Hazy orange. Smells a little acidic, a little citrus, and a bit of mineral. Tastes lemony and tart. Grainy and wheaty. Mineral back end, which is the closest I get to the ocean flavors. Faint grape flavor lingers. Light body. Solid, as always, from SARA.
