Had this at the portal today. Poured a nice golden yellow color with nice head retention. Got a lot of lemon, maybe even some citrus on the nose with that classic sante funk we all love. Taste definitely follows... oak barrels definitely come through. Extremely complex beer with a lot of flavors playing off each other....Lemon, oak, funk, white wine grapes. With that said it’s extremely balanced and it’s overall just another amazing beer from SARA.

750ml bottle. Stemmed glass. Pours a slightly cloudy, otherwise clear medium golden body, one and half finger thick white head, lots of retention, good lacing. Smell is a nice sweet leathery lemon, reasonably Brett-forward nose, nice grainy sweetness and a big white wine aroma, like a pinot gris or something similar. Musty grape. Medium oak. Big ripe lemon. Flavour follows, sweet white grape, musty, light leather, distinct grainy sweetness, slight oaky astringency, straw. Fairly interesting saison, nice white wine-like character to it. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly stickier than a typical saison, good substance, mild-moderate lemony acidity, good carbonation, refreshing with a good depth and complexity to it. Overall, another outstanding barrel-aged saison from SARA. This is great.

750ml bottle, 2018 SARA Cellar release, poured into a Sante Adairius snifter glass. Enjoyed on 4.15.18, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a bright golden straw color, orange hues that's cloudy with a foamy finger of head, good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is nice, tons of funk, lots of that signature Sante house culture, plenty of bright citrus, tropical fruits with soft oak and pale grains. The flavors are great, bright and juicy with tropical fruits and citrus, floral and fruity funk, nice vinous wine barrel, smooth oak with cereal grains and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating medium body that is lively and crisp with a nice tart finish.
Verdict: A very good blend of saisons from Sante Adairius. The balance is nice, the funk is on full display and it brings out some very bright and delicate flavors, juicy and tropical with a nice barrel character, a very fine beer.
