Canned on 6/11/20

Pours a hazy deep orange-golden sunflower hue capped with multiple fingers of dense white foam; excellent head retention fades slowly to a rocky finger of cap, moderate, frothy collar, and eclectic, lasting spatter of soapy lacing strewn around the glass.

Aroma opens with dehydrated peach wedges, passionfruit, and spiced grapefruit zest, semi-sweet, tropical, and earthy buildingly seamlessly to a rounded, creamy mango and musty mint middle; pungently medicinal hops burst forth on the back end of the bouquet alongside notes of dirt and an almost rubbery white grape accent; a sweeping hop showcase.

Taste brings earthier tones of floral white grape skins, spiced orange peel, and underripe blueberry upfront, steadily overtaken by medicinal hops over the mid-palate; a bright peach interlude on the back end fades to raw earth, plush pine, grapefruit zest, and spent white grape must rounding out the finish.

Mouthfeel shows a medium-light body with carbonation just a shade above moderate; consistently pillowy and developing the nuances of a slightly creamy texture, a subdued prickle appears past the mid-palate to a silky, semi-dry, impactful finish; yet the swallow is largely clean, with a beautifully attenuated lingering bitterness fading through.

The layering of eclectic hop texture almost belies the comprehensive simplicity of how this IPA is consumed; it is upfront, uniquely expressive, and yet naturally relaxed, all contrasts building upon what is one of the most rounded, impressive, and well-structured sub-7% IPAs I've come across to date.

Growler from brewery.
Usual SARA unfiltered look with fluffy white mousse head.
Grape, pineapple juice, mango and stone fruit dominate. A hint of citrus.
Medium mouthfeel.
Minimal bitterness, juicy. Very drinkable.

Canned 08 Dec. Thanks, Sam.

Hazy orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose, while clearly a variation on the hazy IPA theme, has a little extra depth. Going with the usual peach, passionfruit and guava is a blend of clean, bright, sweet clementine and some mango. The parts are all familiar, but the execution is what sets it apart. The palate too, has the familiar, comforting flavors of mango juice, passionfruit, peach and melon, along with fresh squeezed OJ, bright and clean. Medium light in body and softly carbonated, what sets this beer apart is how clean and soft it is - no grassy bitterness, great balance, soft, luxurious hops, not quite oily but not thin either, with just enough bitterness to temper the fruit. Creamy, oat like palate. Excellent.
