750ml bottle, 2019 stamped on the label, poured into a stemless wine glass.

The beer pours a fairly clear amber color, golden and orange hues with a foamy white head that offers little in terms of retention or lacing. The aroma is pleasant, floral, grassy, earthy, with a great element of bacterial funk, light oakiness, soft grains, mineral water and a lingering raw hop bitterness. The flavors are good, crisp green hop, floral with a nice grassiness and soft earthiness, citrus peel, peppercorn spice, chewy oak, bacterial funk that has a light fruitiness and a mineral water forward finish. The mouthfeel is good, coating, very lively with a crisp medium body and a lightly tart and mildly dry finish.

Verdict: A nice saison from Sante. The added hop flavor is welcomed and adds a different element than can be expected from many of their saisons. Their typical house culture is very pronounced so at times this does feel a bit redundant to many in their lineup but the flavors are so well expressed and the balance is nice that it's hard to dig on this one too much.

Pours a bright hazed yellow with a thin bubble white head on top. The smell has a funky fruity nose. The taste has notes of kiwi and subtle banana, interesting blend of flavors. The feel is light and clean. Overall a very nice sparkling wine-like saison.
