A: The beer is black when viewed from afar, but when held up to a bright light it is clear and very, very dark red in color. It poured with a short light beige head that died down, leaving lots of wisps of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of malt extracts and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having sweet flavors of malt extracts with notes of dark malts. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied but watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a good representation of the style and goes down very easily.

If you compare it to the better Bavarian darks, Lomska probably just is "OK" per the average BA rating.
But remember, this country's kitchen is nearly Mediterranean; having Greece as its southern border. Cooking flavorfully with garlic, tomatoes and bell peppers is hardly the best pairing with lagers designed to go with potatoes, cabbage and pumpernickel.
For the qualities of Lomska Dark, I defer to the two Poo-bah reviewers. But I will say that at 5.5 abv, I expect a more viscous malt sitting in the mouth.
I will report that I had this Dark with a very average sandwich and neither improved the other.
Overall, I'm glad I had Lomska Dark. This is my only beer from a country of only 7 million that was the world's second largest wine exporter. Pretty clearly, they are focussing on what they do best.

Pours a clear brown color. 1/2 inch head of an off-tan color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong Euro yeast, caramel malt, sweet malt, slight piney hops, and a hint of sugar. Fits the style of an Euro Dark Lager. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level and a hint of roasted bitterness. Tastes of strong Euro yeast, caramel malt, sweet malt, slight piney hops, slight roasted malt, hint of oatmeal, and a hint of sugar. Overall, average appearance and feel, but good aroma and blend.

From the green half liter bottle, it pours almost ruby brown with a small head, dissipating to a ring around the glass. Pleasant malty smell. Taste is lightly malty, with a slight aftertaste.
