Sometimes you just want to get a buzz at lunchtime. A day off and a beautiful day makes that a possibility, and I wasn't feeling an urge to make a short drive to Oggi's, so I went a little further to BJ's. The concept at this location is a little different, operating more like a grill than a pizzeria. It's neat, clean, and full of life during the lunch hour. A "U" shaped bar sits off to one side of the restaurant, where you can find the 24 taps of beers. Being a BJ's, roughly half of the taps were BJ's beers, from standards like the Jerimiah Red and Harvest Hefeweizen, to seasonsals like the Grand Cru and Imperial Red. Noteworthy guest beers in the offering include Arrogant Bastard, Lindeman's Framboise, Fat Tire, and Sam Adams Alpine Spring. Most house beers run for $5, and are served in either a BJ's branded pokal or chalice, depending which beer you get. Not only were the two beers thst I tried good, but I also appreciate the care for using glassware that aren't boring shaker pints.

Good service came at the bar. Not only was she willing to change out a salad for a soup with one of the lunch specials that I ordered, but also offered two tasters of beer when I asked about which seasonals were on. Speaking of lunch, offered is a personal pizza and salad for just $6.50 which I went for (though I replaced the salad with a soup). Chicken noodle soup, good, pizza was acceptable however another minute in the oven may have helped. Good experience overall, and yes, I did get my buzz on.

This is a new location of the already established BJ's.

Feels nice when you walk in, a little posh and trendy. A few tv's not too many, but enough if you need it.

The new location is still working out the kinks and the training. After walking in and asking for a table for four, we were told it would be a few minutes. Immediately after us, another group walked in and got a table for four without waiting? What?

We were also brought the wrong food twice during our visit.

The selection of taps was good, several guest brews and many BJ's offerings. There were several bottle choices as well, many of them Belgians.

The food was good and enjoyable, and all the items were priced about right.
