500ml bottle acquired in trade with MartinT (thanks!).

Poured a medium, and slightly hazy, golden color with a huge sized, frothy white head. Aromas of yeast, spices, citrus, and some apple & banana fruitiness. Tastes of wheat, citrus, very light spices, and lightly fruity. Sweet finish. Thin body.

Pours a hazy, pale orange-yellow colour similar to pineapple juice. The frothy white head was quite large at first, got retained as a thick film and left some minor lacing

Very fresh aroma: freshwater, bitter spice, grains, a mild banana astringency and sweet malts. Quite smooth and well-balanced. Small gum or lychee aroma comes through upon warming.

Crisp and mild taste. Multi-layered spicy bitterness with a tart lemon or orange peel citrus note.

Light-bodied with a medium carbonation that lasts. The bitter taste returns on the back of the tongue and throat. Takes on a fruity acidity like white wine.

Maybe I'm just burned out on witbiers since a glut of new release wheat beers appeared in my region earlier this year, but I find this one decidedly average. Very drinkable, quality brew but nothing really stands out. Complex and deep, sure, but a bit too much so for me.

500mL bottle purchased for $4 - I think it was at Marche Joanette in Montreal back in February, so perhaps not as fresh as should be for a wheat beer. Pours a cloudy white with a fizzy fluffy head. Decent aroma of the light Belgian wit variety - coriander and the like. The first gulp is very quenching - light and sparkly on the tongue and very much to the Belgian wit style. Spices in the aftertaste. A little too light-bodied - but yet again, that's the style, innit?

Tasted on July 23rd, 2009.

In relation to the looks, this is typically a witbier. Pours as pale yellow. Hazy. The smell is fruity and spicy (cloves and coriander). The taste is spicy and cloves are dominants. Very refreshing and still complex beer if you ask me. Thin-bodied, however the mouthfeel is very good. A very drinkable witbier. Excellent beer.

From: Premier Wine & Spirits
Bottled On: 2010 OCT 19

A: Pale cloudy green body with 4 fingers of fluffy white head. Retention is decent.

S: Lemons and some spice. Interesting yeast notes. Very pleasing.

T: Bland mixture of lemon, spice and wheat. It's a great combination, but it is bland.

M: Light bodied with medium-low carbonation. Not really bitter.

D: Decent witbier, the choice of spices makes it unique, but it's not my favourite.

Poured from 500ml bottle. Good blanche - weizen. Appearance is cloudy. Aroma is strong citrus (orange peel) and coriander. Aste pretty much follows, very citrusy, ome banana. Surprisingly not as dry as i had envisioned. Quite full. Enjoyed this nice summer beer.

Pours golden yellow lightly hazy (surprisingly not that hazy for a wit bier!) and giving a nice white fluffy head that melt down a bit to fast.

Nose: Complex! Lots of different spices. Coriander, cloves, cinnamon (?), citrus zest, ginger. Yeast & bread.

Mouth: Cloves right a the beginning, maybe a bit to much. Sweet taste of malt that reminds me of toffee. Definitely sweet in mouth. Carbonation is nice with a good retention. Fealing is a bit creamy.

quite refreshing but way to complex to become an easy hot-summer-days drinker! Seriously inspired from Belgian wit/triple beer.

really cool bottle and label.
careful pouring this one as the head can easily get out of control.

pale yellow and cloudy with a white head that sinks fast. looks like a witbier.

nose is mild subtle yet complex and inviting. citrus zest. spicy notes. smells like a well crafted beer of its denoted style.

despite the heavy carbonation this beer manages to have a silky feel. the taste is clean and refreshing. slightly zesty slightly spice, the spice lingers on in the aftertaste. easy to drink this beer slowly as the spiciness lingers.

a little hard on the stomach with all the carbonation. this beer has some nice flavors.

Pours nice yellow, straw color. A bit hazy. With fluffy white head. Just like I would expect for the style. Spicy aroma. May be a touch too aggressive, but pleasant nonetheless. Taste feels unbalanced - very heavy on the spices upfront, harsh after-taste, a bit sweet, but not enough for balance. Drinkable, but not enough to leave an impression.

I picked up the bottle at IGA at Ile Bizard on 11/9/2014. Should've paid more attention to the bottling date - 9/13/2013. More than a year ago. It was sitting too long somewhere. If I hold on to a beer for too long, I tend to skip reviewing, but since it was just taking too long through the distribution chain, I think it's fair game.
