Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is really surprising, witbier but with some very interesting spices. Makes me think of gingerbread but I don't know which spice exactly I get. Taste follows with the same notes, slightly sweet and spicy but still very refreshing. Body is medium and has a crisp carbonation. Very enjoyable, interesting and well made witbier.

Really really pale straw in color with small carbonation, somehow cloudy and a fast disappearing head. Smells good, but I cannot pin down what it smells. There's some coriander and fresh yeast for sure but other than that I cannot tell. Tastes. So. Good. Though! Lots of spices in the mouth, coriander, cinnamon, even pumpkin. Very carbonated too, definitely a good witbier. I thought it was gonna be an overrated one when I smelled it, but I was happily surprised.

Service: Bottle
Bottled on: Feb-4-2015 (consumed July 31)

A:
Pours a bright yellow that is pretty cloudy with big white head that fizzles down to absolutely nothing. No retention; No lacing. (3.5)

S:
Bright and citrusey right off the bat. Smells like a wit should: spiced bread yeasty character, some coriander, lemon/orange zest, vanilla, soft wheat/malt backbone. (4.25)

T:
Bright yeast character with some vague tartness. Pretty much follows the nose, the slightest HINT of tartness in the finish, pizza dough, clover. (4.25)

M:
Fizzy and pretty subdued, little over-carbonated, quickly disappearing finish. (3.75)

O:
Very good wit.
I have had it before and it was remarkably different look- and feel-wise this time, but other than that it was still the great beer it has always been. Regardless, I feel cheated since any other day it would have been wonderfully creamy with a head you can eat with a spoon. Maybe I'll update those categories next time I grab one. This rating is for the bottle I had though, obviously. Slightly tart, floral breadiness and sugar cookies throughout.
Easy drinking, substantive, refreshing, teasaingly spiced, an excellent beer all around. Will have again; well worth getting your hands on. This is doubly true if you are a fan of wits or wheat beers in general. I would put this among the best you can find, current bottles notwithstanding. (4.25)

Clear hazy straw peachy, almost golden color, with tons of subtle carbonation activity. Extra foamy white 3 finger head lasting around 15 minutes with some strong legs.

Faint aromas and well intensified flavors of citrus, fruits, grains, coriander, floral spices. Rich taste of sweet lemon and orange fruits coupled with a pleasant zesty sharpness and hints of clove spiciness, but slightly vinous.

Light slick body with prickly carbonation. Balanced finish ending with a sweet fruity feeling in the mouth and a slightly spicy floral feel.

Overall : Very good craft having rich pleasant flavors and an extra crispy pure freshness feel, but slightly too thin and a faint metallic smell.

Strong xmas spices (pain d'├ępices), huge quantity of bubbles. The beer has a strong taste of sugar inside.

L: Beautiful looking color. A yellow color just beginning , ever so slightly, to turn orange. One finger of head. Retention was good as was lacing. Head was creamy and rich. Hazy, but not overly so.

S: On the nose I get a slight malt note and some belgian yeast. Almost hay-like.

T: Pretty damn good. I get some citrus , almost like pineapple. I might be crazy but I also get a significant ginger flavor. On the end of the sip I pick up a tiny bit of lemony coriander. There is just a touch of clove. Pear esters going on, too.

F: Creamy with higher carbonation but nothing to bubbly.

O: Great beer. Easy drinking and rather refreshing. This is an interesting example of a Wit, I'd highly recommend it.

Pours nice yellow, straw color. A bit hazy. With fluffy white head. Just like I would expect for the style. Spicy aroma. May be a touch too aggressive, but pleasant nonetheless. Taste feels unbalanced - very heavy on the spices upfront, harsh after-taste, a bit sweet, but not enough for balance. Drinkable, but not enough to leave an impression.

I picked up the bottle at IGA at Ile Bizard on 11/9/2014. Should've paid more attention to the bottling date - 9/13/2013. More than a year ago. It was sitting too long somewhere. If I hold on to a beer for too long, I tend to skip reviewing, but since it was just taking too long through the distribution chain, I think it's fair game.
