The people make the place. The head brewer (I think it's Thomas) should be the poster boy for beer/brewer advocate. He's extremely helpful, genuinely excited about brewing, showing off his setup and what he's doing for his shop, not to mention that he makes some great beers. The homebrew shop has just about everything you could need at very reasonable prices but you can't put a price on the advice and expertise! I'll be back again and again.

Great little brewery. Also has a home brew shop attached. The employees that work there are more than helpful. I find myself going in there to shoot the shit and pick up some bombers more than anything lately.

This review is about the homebrew component of the Candia Road business.

I ran into the owner/head brewer at a beer tasting event last year. I wasn't aware of his store in Manchester and after hearing about it I decided to give it a shot. It's a fairly small space with fermenters from the brewery business right on the other side of the grain storage area. The owner Thomas is probably one of the most generous guys (in terms of time and information) that Ive come across in my short time as a homebrewer. He seems to know just about everyone that comes in by their first name and genuinely seems interested when customers talk about their brewing activities.

Grain, equipment and hop prices are very reasonable and he's been cool with sparing some hard to find hops - even long after other shops are long since sold out and people are scrambling.

Cool folks and great service.
