Cool Beer store with 20 taps of assorted local and national craft beers. Spacious interior with a decor similar to a Starbucks. Bar seats about a dozen. Separate cooler for single bottle and can sales. Great selection. Very nice experience.

I stopped at The Casual Pint on my way back to Connecticut. After a few days and many local beer store stops, I was starting to think Tennessee did not drink craft beer.

The Casual Pint had dozens of beers I had never seen before. Some of them were local to Tennessee and were very good (Fat Bottom, Yazoo, etc.). I was really impressed with the concept of beer on tap - then mixed sixers to take home. I grabbed two mixed six packs of interesting/local craft beer while knocking back a pint!

They do not have food, but there was a food truck outside and customers are encouraged to eat at the beer bar.

I wish CT had a place like this...

The Casual Pint is doing a good job... just not a great job. It is very hard to order and the "bar" is small. They have a bar, cooler area, many seats around tables and a casual area. Beer selection is great at times but not good at times too. I know that there are quite a few issues getting beer in Knoxville, but others are doing it and doing it well. I wish they would get more taps and more bar seating. Also, many have complained about the loudness... a few pads or art on the walls may help with the pinging and loudness.

I know this place will get better with time. A few of the bartenders have attitudes too... I know they are busy, but rudeness is not the answer.

Visited on a fairly busy Friday evening when the acoustically challenged venue was very loud. Still there were empty seats available so it certainly could get even louder. As is, it was not easy to order.

Excellent beer selection ... for TN
About 24 taps with good variety and an emphasis on local beers. Beer flights (4 decent sized pours) available.
Singles (most $3) and mixed-6 packs (usually $14?) with cold bottles available. Good place to find Yazoo brews. Not far off the interstate for those passing thru.

This is a new and clean place to go and enjoy a good beer or grab some to take home. They have installed up to 21 more taps and change them out often to keep something new. Good laid back atmosphere with reasonable prices. I will definitely be stopping in again.

They have a few tables outside on a newer patio and you can also take a beer over to otts bbq which is in the shop beside The Casual Pint. I think it is a great place due to the fact that you can go in have a couple of draught beers and then grab you a great quality sixer to take home with you. All in all i think it is a nice addition to knoxville.

Update: This place now has 22 taps. They also made their own beer - Casual Pint's Dirty South Brown. It is a really great bottle shop and has grown into a great business!

This place is pretty new. The location is a bit unusual (it is actually really nice and clean compared to other places around town). The walls are lined with different 6 packs with a cooler section in the back left. The bar with (10) taps is in the back right corner. No food.

Parking is fine - no complaints here. The selection is excellent for a store of its kind, but it is still limited to below 6% ABV because of TN laws. I've gotten many great beers and a few crappy ones. I will definitely stop by when I am in town to see what is on tap.

I prefer the atmosphere of the Casual Pint to other Knoxville bottle shops/hang-outs. The owner is really nice and is trying to run an honest business. I wish this place the best of luck and hope their success means more great beer for those of us in Tennessee that definitely want it.

This is a beer retailer located in a new strip center, just down the street from Bearden Beer Market(obviously an "inspiration" for this place). Neighbors include Five Guys and Menchie's yogurt. It also has a small seating area with some TVs for those who might want to drink on-premise. Various six packs of beer line the shelves that surround the space. Strong spotlights shine on the packs of beer. Merchadise for sale include T-shirts with "beer quotes" on them. The entire place smells of newness and glue.

Nothing really unusual or special here. It looks like someone is trying to mass marker the craft beer popularity. The bartenders have average or less-than-average knowledge of beers. No really unusual beers either. No food. No interior character. Limited parking in the small lot in front of the store, shared by three other retailers. I don't see the attraction here.
