Well first thoughts, a chinese beer I saw a few times in asian restaurants. Well my mate bought me one, out of a can it tasted probably better than most beers do, they normally taste metallic. I was particularly liked the aroma and aftertaste, it tasted clear. Had a bit of a fruity taste initially as well bit sweet bit still bitter and fizzy. I read it had a ricey aftertone, didn't taste that so much; but then all and all a good beer for my first asian one.

Pours yellow and crystal-clear with a finger of white foam that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is yeast spice and pilsner malts and carries a heavy dank quality. Flavor profile is similar, hitting pilsner and biscuit malts with spicy yeast for contrast. It has a heavy dank quality as well. Mouth feel is slightly fizzy, but otherwise crisp and refreshing with a thin consistency. Overall, a plain lager that drinks crisp and refreshing.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz bottle.

A little skunky, light, some barley notes on the backend. Definitely, not as impressive as what Japan has done with some of their rice lagers which have remain to be some of my go to beers to this day. I don't think I need to mention any specific beers names because everyone in the beer community should know which ones that I am talking about especially one that is mass produced here in the USA. Oh well! enough jibber jabber Cheers! C (75-79) score range

Look: Normal lager. Straw yellow, thick white head with good retention.

Smell: A bad yeast smell, like it's gone bad.

Taste: Virtually nothing. You could mistake this for carbonated water if not for a little yeast and bread on the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Thin, but not as carbonated as it should be. Almost flat.

Overall: Not great by a long shot. Only for the desperate at an Asian bar.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 5/26/2018. Pours crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Touch of fruit/skunk in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malt and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a nice pale lager. All around nice robustness of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and never watery for the ABV. Nothing but clean pils malts and decent earthy hop presence/balance for the style. Not much skunk for the green bottles at all. A nicely enjoyable and well made offering.

Had high hopes due to its association with Hong Kong - unfortunately, smelled slightly skunky and taste was even more so. Faint notes of corn and rice. Even consuming it nice and cold, straight out of the fridge, didn’t seem to help. Couldn’t finish it.

From the bottle with some udon and sushi rolls.

Appearance: Big white head and clear straw yellow/gold body. So far so good.

Aroma: Oh my. Big adjunct presence in nose. Smells like cooked corn but I believe this brewer uses rice.

Taste: That adjunct taste is very noticeable on palate. This beer isn't quite cold enough to mask its flaws, but I suspect they'd still be noticeable. Very adjuct lager-like. Kind of analogous to a Rolling Rock or something.

Mouthfeel: Watery.

Overall: Not a disaster, but a pretty bad beer. Would rather go cheaper than this for "bad but tolerable"-type beer.

Why did I drink this? Oh yeah, I was out for dim sum & there was nothing else. Macro. But not the worst one. Looks like a beer. Smells like a beer. Tastes like a beer. Mouthfeel is like a beer. Yeah, it's a regular beer & I don't drink those!

Standard beer. I may have got a fresh batch here in Hong Kong because I could taste some apple flavor in the beer this time. Not a bad beer but nothing spectacular. Session beer. Good for any occasion. Good when straight out of a cool fridge at about 2-3C. Carbonated, clean, crisp. No bad aftertaste when cold. Will drink it again when in HK. Overall acceptable and decently priced local beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle.

Look - light yellow, fizzy carbonation. no head, no lacing.
Smell - faint smell of grains and light hops. none of that unpleasant smell from other adjunct lagers though, so that's a plus.
Taste - lacks flavor, but clean and crisp.
Feel - light bodied, medium-high carbonation, light ABV.
Overall - I've drank so much of these during my trips in China, so maybe I'm a bit biased. However, I do think it tastes better than many of the adjunct lagers on the market. Would not mind drinking a half dozen of these over the course of a night with late night BBQ or something.
