Ice cold this beer fooled me into thinking it was great. However, drinking after a better lager showed me its many faults. Bad taste, off smell and not refreshing. Not drinking anytime soon

12 oz. bottle poured into pilsener
(1/4/2018 best-by date)

L: clear yellow, hint of gold, pushes up 1-inch tall head of white/offwhite foam that sticks a little; decent amount of activity in glass but not as much as some AALs; keeps tight collar of white/offwhite foam; perhaps just a half a shade darker than AAL standard

S: fruity sweet and malty, peach cobbler; something different way underneath, cooked carrots, slight house paint

T: that vegetable note from the aroma is much more pronounced here, like diluted seawater or cooked broccoli ... boiled shrimp tails ... something very different in the water; a bit of bread malt, slight peach, grain, sour grain

F: standard all around, lightweight and decent carbonation though arguably soft for an AAL

O: like most AALs with that one big difference from the water (I'm guessing); that one note isn't offensive but it's also not quite tasty enough to make me want more

look: 3.5 | smell: 2 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3

Appearance:
Light yellow with perfect clarity. Head is white and fluffy, but quickly recedes. 3.75

Nose:
A bit of DMS skunk. Curse of the green bottle or normal? Maybe a little spicy hop, but hard to gauge over the DMS. 2.0

Taste:
No skunk here so freshness seems to be ok for an import. Not a lot going on though. Enough hop to balance the beer. Neither sweet nor bitter. Tolerable even while slightly warm. 3.25

Feel:
Light, but not dry. Basically what you expect in the style. Seems like an American Light lager equivalent. 3.5

Overall:
My wife likened this to Michelob Light. I couldn't really disagree. While not terrible, it doesn't really have enough to recommend it over its american counterparts. Combine that with the green bottle and availability of cheaper american equivalents means this is a one time deal for me. Not Recommended. 3.25

I mean this in the nicest way possible, this beer is terrible, but it's honestly not as bad as I actually expected it to be. Still, do not recommend it

A: Poured into lager glass, golden color with solid effervescence and nearly a full inch head
S: Sweet nose with a slight caramel close.
T: Light malts with a note almost of sparkling whites; similar to Miller High Life, slightly more hoppy though.
M: Light and refreshing.
O: Very drinkable, if somewhat unremarkable.
