16oz glass at this newish beer joint in Calgary - the house wheat ale, which is apparently Brewsters' Wild Wheat with a smidgeon of peach juice extract.

This beer appears a clear, medium golden yellow hue, with one finger of thinly creamy and sudsy off-white head, which settles readily to a low-riding ebb of painted lace around the glass.

It smells of semi-sweet peach fruitiness, a bit of earthy yeast, and some mild wheat malt graininess. The taste is more woody peach fruitiness, moderate bready wheat and pale malts, and a pleasant, subtle musty, leafy hoppiness.

The bubbles are damned near unheard and unseen, in their ultra-low frequency frothiness, the body a fruity (natch) medium weight, and really quite smooth, a small airy creaminess arising over time. It finishes fairly off-dry, and well, fruity and grainy, I guess - how else can I say it?

Hey, the decent wheat beer base just provides that much extra help towards an overall agreeable fruit beer. And that extra slice of peach veritable? Sure, why not? In this case, it works well, especially as a palate popper/cleanser after the fact.

One of the house beers at Beer Revolution, tried it out at the Calgary location.
Clear, orange yellow color, served with an additional peach chunk which basically killed all head or foam retention.
Smell is dominated by the sweet, sugary peach fruit. Hidden behind is a bit of wheat-bear yeast character. The taste is not as sweet as expected from the aroma. Some wheat malt, but the fruit is the dominant flavor.
Medium body, smooth, and not too cloyingly sweet (like some other fruit beers).
A nice surprise.
