A: Glossy black in color. Forms a moderate sized light tan colored head. Creamy head consistency. Reduces fairly quickly, leaving just a ring around the edge. Some moderate lacing.

S: Aroma is light hot chocolate or chocolate milk, if said chocolate milk had been made with dark chocolate. Vanilla and creamy chocolate. Brownie-like. There is a bit of roasted malt in the mix as well.

T: Taste is similar. There is a lot of vanilla in this one giving the beer a slight artificial sweetness. Chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla, cola, dark fruit, and some sweeter dark malts.

M: Full bodied and creamy with a velvety smooth mouthfeel on the front end. Drier on the back end and turns a slight bit chalky. Mild bitterness.

O: Overall, a pretty good sweet stout that would make a damn fine dessert beer.

s: a bit lacking on the aroma but everything else about this beer makes up for it.
t: very chocolate/vanilla forward, you definitely get the adjuncts pdubs used here. I only get a bit of heat at the end of the sip, otherwise goes down like chocolate milk.
f: classic creamy milk stoutness, silky sticky.
overall, awesome will revisit. pdubs is the real deal brewery right here in Chicago. find it. drink it.

Incredibly smooth and delicious this beer doesn't even hint at the fact that it's double digit ABV. Great chocolatey taste, pleasant aroma I plan on picking up an extra bottle for the cellar post-haste. I might be presumptuous in saying this right now, but I believe this is the best of the stouts Pipeworks has made.

22oz bottle, batch #214-215, no date, copyright 2013. Pours black with a smaller-sized tan head. Smells of cocoa, earthy hops, and vanilla. Great taste of cocoa, vanilla, roasted malts, hops, and lactose and has a slight bit of sweetness. Low-medium carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. No alcohol presence. The cocoa and hops remind me of Bourbon County Brand Stout. Overall, lots of flavor and an enjoyable milk stout.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Much darker than its little brother. Oily black. Nothing by way of a head.

Smell - Really chocolatey. Fudge syrup. Some caramel malts.

Taste - Still really chocolatey, but with some depth. Molasses character comes through as well. I don't get a whole lot of lactose from this one. A little sweet, though.

Mouthfeel - Medium low carbonation. Slick and coats the mouth. Medium heavy.

Overall - Better than Jones Dog, but mostly because of all the chocolate in it.
