LAAADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Step right up and take a pull of this desirable imibable wonder! now, I'm not a hawkin' a ballyhoo for any old flukum. NO! This prestidigitational flavor rambunction is brewed in inspired conjunction with Niche restaurant. Wegotcher orange, wegotcher citrus hops, wegotcher spices, wegotcher all things nices. This ale is the best on either side of the Mississippi or my name's not Elijah (which it is) and this is not my revival (which it is).

Had on tap. Had the barrel aged version and wanted to give this one a try. However, what I liked about the barrel aged version was missing here, leaving me with an overly spiced and orange candy sweet wheatwine. It isn't a bad combination, just too much out of balance for me, wanted more wheat and booze. Aromas include wheat, molasses, vanilla, orange, caramel, yeast, baking spices, cinnamon, and a finishing herbal tea. Feel is layered, but not in a good way, separating the beer out in the sips but yet very full in the body. Hard to wrap your palate around, but worth a try

Appearance: Pours copper with a decent head that leaves some dots of lacing

Smell: Caramel, wheat and nuts, with a pithy, orange aspect

Taste: Opens with caramel, wheat and nut flavors with the orange aspect building, orange hard candy tones make up the back end, along with spice, pepper and fusel alcohol

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: An interesting beer but I think this is a bit to big and powerful for its own good; the sweetness and the booziness are both overwhelming

Appearance: pours a deep earthy orange color, almost like that of orangish brown autumn leaves. a finger plus of an off white head with strong retention and leaving by a strong streaky lacing. opaque but with a weak brightness around the edges. constant bubbling carbonation and some floating yeast and sediment.

Smell: wheat, caramel and nutty malts. orange, mostly flesh but some peel as well. strong spices, predominately peppercorns, but some herbal spices as well. boozy.

Taste: opens up with a mix of wheat malt and orange flesh. syrupy sweetness with notes of caramels and toffee. some nutty malt sneaks through. after an initial sweetness it becomes bitter and almost astringent with spices, hops, alcohol and possibly orange peel. the spices take the lead on the back end with definite peppercorns along with some herbs, most likely thyme. ends with a hot and strong booziness.

Mouthfeel: syrupy, almost astringent with spices and booze. lingering spices, warming alcohol.

Overall: fresh this beer is spicy and astringent and boozy to the point of excess. I had a early batch after cooling down for a while and enjoyed that one more. Overall though there are some good flavors that are just a bit too overdone and slightly unbalanced.
