Notes / Commercial Description:
This IIPA, the latest addition in our hop-highlighting NvU Epic Battle series, has a bright, fresh hop aroma, and a subtle bitterness, that has us all talking about how crushable this is. (DISCLAIMER: Please do not actually crush beer while still in bottle and cap is still on. It will hurt…not that we know) Drink early, drink often.

Pours golden in color with a orange haze. Head is about one finger white fluffy and has good retention.

Smell is incredibly tropical. Loads of tropical hops forward ripe mango, sweet honeydew, cantaloupe kiwi, and a good presence of grapefruit. This beer smells like a fruit bouquet, caramel malt and butterscotch note typical to pipeworks ipas is also in there.

Taste is great. Herbal slightly grassy hop oils are forward however not overly sticky with resin. Some bright citrus flavors primarily grapefruit are near the end of the sip along with a very mild sweet caramel grainy malt.

Mouthfeel is good. Tons of hop oils, mild bitterness, mild resin stickiness and mild carbonation. Very nicely balanced ipa.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a big creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet fruity malts and piney hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with tropical fruit and lots of resiny piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice piney fruity DIPA.

Pours clouded, dull darker orangey Amber, dark khaki cap leaves great looking fields of fine lacing.

Pineapple juice-fruit filled nose

Super smooth and super tasty dipa, fruity/softly citric goodness...minimal bitterness....but maximum flavor fullness....more great brew from Pipeworks

Pours a golden honey with white head that dissipates quickly.

Nice bouquet of tropical fruits...and then...here comes the weed and/or cat piss in a pine forest.

Taste of a big malt bill with a rich dankness to it. A lot a lot of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.

A creaminess to it with lingering hop.

Archiving this, I find this tastes similar to Citra Ninja and yea, even the scores are tight. Tasty quaff and delivers a great punch. Not to miss!

Clear gold. Head is dense but short and abruptly subsides.

Tropical fruit aromas. Dragon fruit, tangerine, mango.

Tropical fruit flavors. Slightly dry even with a little bit of grass. Light toasted cracker malt.

Mouthfeel is slightly flat. My only knock on the beer. Not entirely, but could use more carbonation to add a crispness to compliment the dry bite.

A very good beer. Not one of my favorite ninjas, but at this point the bar is high and even not being one of my favorites it's still one to seek out.

Appearance is slightly cloudy and a rust orange.

Smell is a hop punch to the nostrils, very pungent.

HOPS!!! Now this is a tasty beverage! Citrus, slight malt to balance, just great.

Mouthful of hops!

Overall a mf'ing hop bomb and a gd palate pleaser.

A- pours a nice thin white head, a nice golden color with lacing on the side of the glass.

S- nice upfront floral smell that hits you right away, smells like a hop explosion. Also get some light malts mixed in with the hops

T- nice smooth taste with a bite of hops as the beer rolls across the tongue, a smooth and sweeter taste to balance with the hops very nicely.

M- a little sticky, with a medium to thick mouthfeel that bites a little on the tongue

O- my first pipeworks Amarillo thanks to a trade, overall a solid beer with a nice hop balance and a nice taste. Solid beer overall
