Wow. This is a great oatmeal stout without any gimmicks, barrel aging, or crazy heavy flavoring. A reminder of the style I once loved supremely year ago. The luscious and creamy body brings out oat, milk chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon right to the surface of the taste. The smell is straight up malty oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Hides the 11% abv well in the flavoring, and not unnecessarily heavy either.

bomber into a tulip glass.

Off white light khaki head that recedes to the edges of the glass. Super dark brown to black body. Aroma is oatmeal grain, molasses, cherry, roasty dark chocolate, and a little bit of heat. Taste is a solid oatmeal grainy sweetness, light notes of cherry, roasted dark chocolatey malts, some more maraschino cherries, and a light touch of heat on the back end. Medium to thin mouthfeel, medium to low carbonation. This is a well done and enjoyable straight up imperial stout with a clearly present oatmeal grain bill.

A really nice oatmeal stout. Wonderful full body. Alcohol is hidden well which is impressive at 11%. I would buy again

Pours a dark brown with a small khaki head, spotty lacing does does leave oil slick on the glass.
Aroma is fruity, plum, figs and cherries.
Flavor matches, but hints of chocolate appear.
Thin for the style, but it's smooth. Oatmeal?
I see they're on Act III, this was Act I, so I assume this is a couple years old. (A gift.) If I saw an Act III I might give it a chance.

Pours a typical black color with two fingers of a dense mocha-colored head.

Aroma is of lots of cherry, bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, oatmeal, and molasses.

Taste follows the nose well. The combination of chocolate and cherry give it a chocolate covered cherry-like taste. The oatmeal is there too. As you get towards the finish, the roast, coffee, and dark cocoa from the malts come through. There's a molasses-like sweetness mid-palate that balances the beer nicely. The 9 months age on this done this beer well, as it is quite smooth for 11%.

High medium to low full body. Typical creamy and somewhat chewy mouthfeel from the oatmeal. Oily and slick on the finish.

This is a solid imperial oatmeal stout. Nothing that will blow your socks off, but there's some decent flavors and aromas going on here.
