IIPA brewed with Raspberries and Honey
Duuuuuuuude... This beer reminds me. Once, I looked at a fish tank. At this medical place I go to? And there were these like beta fish just like fighting. And I thought, uh, that's a metaphore. Life for life. Oh. Yeah. I did shave my eyebrows. I think they're going to like just know when to stop growing. Like how do they know???? They just like stop growing when they're eyebrow length. My mind is blllllown.

Hazy straw color, suspended matter. A bit, fruity, a bit spicy, raspberry. Smells better than the taste, I like what they are trying here but it just doesn't come through for me. Worth trying though

Bet if a full pint can's contents are poured into a clear glass Imperial pint mug, much will be divulged. Very little starts off well, as the head of a moderately chilled beer overwhelms the glass with its fluffy head. A big white fluffy head that recedes unevenly is most often the sign of less than below. average ale. Time elapse as the head ebbs and there's no glass lacing. This probably won't end up well. On other side, the color is a rich copper-amber with a nice brightness and density. The aroma is absolutely bold, you can tell you're going to get a dose of earthy and bitter hops. But the taste isn't boldly bitter. Instead, it's earthy and fruity, in a berry or cherry like way. The warning sides are on the can, "with honey and raspberry puree". But, even considering that, the overall is too sweet to be a good one. The taste aspect is good and has a little complexity But there must have been too much wheat in the wort, because this drinks very thinly, despite its other attributes.

L: Very hazy amber/deep orange color, juicy, quarter finger white head, nice thin lacing, no visible carbonation.
S: Tropical fruits, hops. Smells wonderful.
T: Tropical fruits, blood orange, citrusy, slightly malty. Soooo good.
F: Medium bodied, full flavored and smooth.
O: A brilliant DIPA.

Bottled September 2015; drank 9/19/15 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque orange/pink appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge eggshell head; a thick curtain of lace.
Raspberry & orange citrus notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Raspberry & faint fresh ganja flavors up front; mild honey & faint grapefruit notes on the finish. No booze heat. Mango sweetness settled on my lips over the course of the session.
Fruit forward & balanced; about as good as a DIPA can be.

22oz bottle, hazy rose colored ale with a foamy beige head that holds good retention. Fruity aroma of raspberries, tropical fruit, light caramel, and honey. Bold flavors of tart raspberries, sweet honey, grapefruit, guava, and light caramel; but the main focal point is the raspberries. Full body, moderate carbonation, alcohol is warming and mildly hot at times, tart and bittersweet finish. I love raspberries and this was done well for a raspberry DIPA if you will, but it seemed to underwhelm for whatever reason.

This is power beer for the double IPA fans. Its syrupy, malty, and thick with a little tart to back it. It strikes me as a brew beyond it's ABV, would have expected to see 11% or so.

Look: Reddish Brown with a nice foam that lingers. (7/10)
Smell: Rasperries are first, followed by honey, malt, hops. (8/10)
Taste: Citrus, raspberry, banana, crisp, bright, really refreshing. (8/10)
Feel: Flavor lingers, but theres a harsh aftertaste on the palate. (7/10)
Overall: This is another great Pipeworks concoction. Wish I drank this fresher, but even after it was a few months old, it was delicious and refreshing. This is a raspberry beer. Get over it. It will creep up on you, but the taste opens up nicely. Would recommend this for sure. (7/10)
