Bottled fall 2015; drank 10/31/15 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small dark tan head; minimal lace.
Burnt marshmallow, peanut butter & cream notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Peanut butter & vanilla flavors up front; brandy notes on the finish.
Nicely balanced & rich; good.

Had this on 2017-11-10 in Columbia, PA from a 22oz bottle from 2016
A - Opaque dark brown with a 1-finger light brown head and decent lace.
S - Soy sauce, dark roasted grain and light vanilla.
T - Dark roasted grain, earthy spice, definite vanilla sweetness, oak. The vanilla sweetness works well to mitigate the dark roast flavor and bitterness. Alcohol heat and sweetness are also noticeable.
M - Medium-heavy body and light carbonation. Creamy, full and then some alcohol burn in the finish, which I didn't mind.
O - Tastes better than it smells. The umami aroma gave me expectations of this being quite apparent in the flavor, but this wasn't the case. This is an enjoyable sipping brew although not top of the field for Imperial Stouts.

Appearance - The beer was black with a modest tan head crowning the glass.
Smell - The nose iwas boozy and generally lacked vanilla.
Taste - At the front, the front was smooth vanilla which seemed muted. The profile was a little warm and had a weird Diet Vanilla Coke presence. This would not normally be awful, unless one expects their beer to taste like diet soda. Bitter dark chocolate arrive at the back end.
Mouthfeel - The carbonation level of on target for the style and allowed the vanilla taste to linger.
Overall - I feel like there was something off about this one.

L: Minimal tan head, pours dark. A thin rim of head remains around the edges of the beer long after you pour
S: Vanilla, Chocolate and spice. Hints of char.
T: Vanilla and char. Taste the booze comes through in a negative way. All flavor but char leaves your mouth upon swallowing
F: Foamy and carbonated. Thin but not too thin.
O: Not bad but not good. I would definitely pick up a different bottle instead. Perhaps because it is a older bottle and flavor profile has fallen off.
